Joying 10.1 “newest” Android unit install and overview.
Update: I forgot the mention the issue of the native clock, I can't seem to get it to stay set. Whenever I turn off my truck, the clock sets to a random date and time which affects the auto-dim.
When i purchased this unit i struggled to find a video regarding the plug n play nature of this unit so i wanted to make a video to walk through install and startup. I have owned this unit for less than a month and overall am satisfied with the unit but it definitely has its issues.

Great video! I am installing the 11.6 joying head unit in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Only issue I am having is the back up camera is not coming on. Also, my steering wheel controls aren't working as well. The unit comes on and music works but just trying to figure out the back up camera. I am not installing gps, or the 4 g stuff, also using oem microphone. Thanks again for the great video, probably one of the best i have seen on the installation process.

I did and I also found what I was looking for on Tacoma world forum. Everything is working perfectly and I love this unit!! Joying support was fantastic as well.

To get the hazards/airbag control board to fit in the unit, do you really need to snap off the 3 plastic tabs on it that hold the screws? I saw this in another install video. I like to have the option of going back to stock if the head unit doesn't work out. Not a fan of snapping those tabs. That board is also a $300++ part.

You’re not snapping the tabs, you just compress them to remove from their slot. You need the tabs in tact to install into this head unit. Everything about this install is 100% reversible

@@kev2523 good to know. I have a 2010, so a different radio than yours, but that board has got to be the same design. In one of the install videos i watched, the guy said to snap off the plastic tabs that the original screws went into on that hazard switch board, to get it to fit into the new head unit.

Have you had any problems as far as when its really hot outside.like screen over heating?

I have not had any issues with the unit overheating, I'm in southern California so plenty of hot days

On your climate control did you have to plug in one of the connector only?

@@ralleca15 no, your climate control gets reconnected the same as stock
