That first chord sounded to me like a somewhat deep slash in the chest, or the heart... which seems to me that Bach might have wanted to represent the sound of an emotional tragedy. I once saw a text interpretation of crying the death of a loved one... I'm not into learning the violin, but nice video anyway.

you are most welcome, I am going to make more. The chaconne is very long so I have to break it into small bits.

Hi, Joy! There was a very good idea in your video. Bach wrote this for two instruments, a violin and a harpsichord. So you can play the melody seperately and it has to sound. You did this. A real harpsichordist would play different. He would have his fingers on the keys, listen to the melody and on time or shortly afterwards he would play the deepest note. Then he would play more ore less arpeggio. If you play both instruments together, there is a problem with rhythm. Too many bow used for the chord? Not enough bow left? That makes the long tone of the melody not shorter. Difficult piece.

Bach wrote this for solo violin between 1717 and 1720. That is the 18th century. Others have transcribed it for other instruments hundreds of years afterward. The earliest documented transcription for harpsichord was in the 20th century. That's over 200 years after he died. He did not, as you say, write this for two instruments. You are 100% wrong about everything. What's a real harpsichordist compared to a fake harpsichordist? What does "too many bow" mean? Did you just throw up on your computer keyboard and decide to post it? You're a joke.

Hi Joy. Thank you so mutch for these videos. I am currently working on the Vitali Chaconne and there are multiple portato passages, but they are quite quick and after listening to recordings it almost sounds more like ricochet. Im not sure how to get a good sound, could you help?

Hi joy! I find your videos very helpful and they always helped me: how can I play the part at 9:02 of Vivaldi's Summer? I would also be happy if you could help me with the double stops at 9:47. Here's the link of the piece: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYqUoWB8os-HZ68
