+gifgit thank you! but i think an experienced sound engineer could do much better with this pedal!
@gifgit8 жыл бұрын
Nico Bellisario Maybe, but I think that us amateurs stand a better chance with these pedals because we have a lower expectation. A pro sound engineer would probably throw this pedal in the bin simply because it`s cheap and it can sound very harsh. Personally I love my AC Tone.

One more question, where should i place this pedal in my effects chain? The way i have it now Is: From my guitar to a EHX Crayon, then to a EHX Big Muff Pie, then to a Vox Sachturator, then to a Joyo 6 band Equalizer, then to a Boss ME70 (multieffects, that i use only for modulations and Delays, and once in a while for Distortion and wah), then to a Behringer Reverb Machine and from there to my AMP, my AMP by the way has a send/return but i've never used it... I would appreciate your answer! Thanx

If you want to use it as a preamp you should put it where you would put the amp! at the end of the chain :)

Hi Nico, thank you for the video. Can I run in this manner? 1) Guitar > Tune > WAh > Dirt > JOYO ACTONE > modulation pedals > PA 2) Guitar > Tune > WAh > Dirt > modulation pedals > JOYO ACTONE > PA Which one is better? Currently at home I run FX send and return for my modulations through an AMP. But when I go to a studio, I prefer direct to PA without AMP, so I want to know which one will work better. Thanks buddy!
@notjazzmaster43073 жыл бұрын
Heyy it’s depend on how you will use the actone if you use it as a drive also then the best choice would be before mods rev and delays and it sounds great, if you use it only as a clean platform then the second choice is a great choice also. Better to try it by yourself until you satisfied with the results, cheers🥂
@NicoBellisarioMusic3 жыл бұрын
It is mainly a matter of taste, the more drive you add after the modulation the more dirty and organic it will sound.

Hi Nico, Could you tell us what equalisation did you use in your fender amp in this video? Thanxs.
@hammill4444 жыл бұрын
I wonder---- what exactly does the voice knob do? It seems to add some gain. But how does that differ from the drive knob?
@JosephGallagher3 жыл бұрын
It alters the midrange frequency AND adds gain before the actual gain stage/knob. So it pretty much adds gain and volume and mids
@remoteuser656 жыл бұрын
Putting through an amp kinda defeats the object as it's an amp sim pedal. I own all of these pedals and none of them like to go past '3 O'Clock' on any of the controls. If you keep this in mind you won't get any noise / hiss and hours of fun. Hope this helps.
@guitareMTL6 жыл бұрын
They sound good in both ways, direct or with an amp. I don't see the problem.
@clintonmaher69306 жыл бұрын
guitareMTL The problem is you are playing a cabinet simulated sound through another cabinet, so you are getting a "double cabinet/micd" sound which is kind of weird
@guitareMTL6 жыл бұрын
@@clintonmaher6930 I meant I don't "hear" the problem. I tested many amp modeler and they all sound bad through an amp, so yes you're right in general, but this one here, it sounds great both ways, amp or direct...

Would this substitute the pre amp of my amp? (I have a Marshall MG100FX) , and i would like to use this pedal as my main pre amp, would my amp sound like this? I would leave it always in the clean setting since i have od pedals, Distortion pedals and modulación, delay and Reverb. Thanks, i hope you could help me with your answer.

Hi Fernando, yes it would work!

Nico Bellisario - Guitar, Music & Stuff sorry, one last question, where shall i put it in my pedal chain? This is the way i have my pedals connected: From my guitar to a EHX Crayon (od), then into a Big Muff Pi, then to a Vox Sachturator, then to a Joyo 6 band equalizer, then to a Boss ME70 multi effects (that i basically use for modulations and Delay), then to a Reverb Behringer and from there to my Marshall Amp... So, where should i place the pre amp ? My amp also has a send/return .... Sorry to bother you with these questions
@JohnShalamskas6 жыл бұрын
If you want to emulate an AC-30 with your Marshall, try plugging the amp-in-a-box pedal into your send/receive loop. In fact you could probably move the multi effects pedal (modulation, delay, and reverb) into the amp's send/receive loop too.

Nico in questo video l actone è collegato all’input dell’ampli? C è molta differenza nella resa sonora collegandolo ad un return o in diretta al mixer, scheda audio etc??

I just have to ask; does it work like a Vox tube amp? In that it cleans up nicely when the volume is lowered? And, do you think it would sound good in a mix with the Joyo American? With one set for clean, the other for a nice, smooth crunch?
@NicoBellisarioMusic7 жыл бұрын
Hey luke, yes it cleans up when the volume is lowered but I don't know if thre response curve faithfull to a real vox. I think these pedals are meant to be used as preamps so I would not switch them on simoultaneously but rather play on or the other when you need to change osund (from clean to drive for example)
