Interesting video, thanks. I'm looking to build a setup to record guitar directly into Cakewalk or Studio One. What part does the Palmer Daccapo Reamp box play here?

Great sound! so would you think it will sound good through a Seymour Duncan powerstage into a real Marshall 4x12 v30s cab? the fact that it has the built in cab sim stopped me from buying it, i was thinking on the Joyo Hot Plexi that i think it does'nt have the cab sim, but i watched reviews and didn't like the sound that much.

The internet said that joyo have sim cab already installed in the box, when you did this, didn't you think it had double processed of cab/speaker sim?

When you put joyo di to soundcard, it sounds horrible 🙂 with any cab sim pedal it is usable for live or for recording. Thanks for your comment ☺️🙂

I have Amplitube 5, Studio Devil Amp Pro, and Waves Prs Supermodels, and although all these can be tweaked to sound very good, I recently purchased the Joyo American Sound, the Joyo British as well as the Joyo Ultimate Drive, and I now prefer to use these rather than the plug-ins mentioned. I have been playing guitar for at least 45 years, played bars from the age of 17 to about 33, and have owned all the best amps and guitars that were around throughout those years and still own nice gear. For recording at home I now use the Joyo's as I prefer the analog feel and ease of use. If you have the ears, and know how to achieve great sound, these work great. I own Ownhammer and Two Notes IRs but use the Joyo's without them. I use a Steinberg UR242, plug the output of the Joyo American and British into the inputs in the back, set the unit to -10db, and crank the level knobs on the Joyo's high enough to get a good level into Cubase. I then tweak the tone controls and voice control on the Joyo's to taste depending on sound I'm trying to achieve, as well as the amount of drive. I use the British for a good crunchy tone for rhythm and then use the Ultimate Overdrive with it for leads. I purchased these clone pedals as they were low cost and after having spend a small fortune on the Vst's mentioned. I'm not dissing what the owner of this video has said, however, I am a true believer that with the right know how, and a little experimenting, most anything can be made to sound good. Use your own ears, too many people have varying opinions on everything on KZbin. You have many people demoing very expensive amps, pedals, guitars, and they still somehow make them sound like crap.

@@Johnmannish hello, I'm not sure. I've tried it through TwoNotes Wall of Sound and it sounds ok but I prefer it on its own as it sounds good in context of a mix with proper eq. I also have a Tech 21 Trademark 10 that I also use to record using the emulated output and I also prefer it on its own. For your purpose, and it's just an opinion, I would find a used Tech 21 British with the speaker defeat switch. That might better suit what you're after with the gear you described.
