I recently learned about two or three resonators I'd never heard of before, and I've been checking out how they compare to my beloved Ebow.
So far nothing had quite matched the Ebow, though I really liked the TC Electronic Aeon. I found the Soundstone little more challenging to operate and get a great sound, but it wasn't bad.
In this video I'm looking at the Joyo Infinite Sustainer, and I think this one not only comes closest to competing with the Ebow, it actually deserves a place of its own.
I’m also including a demonstration of the Joyo in action against a simple looped backing track, with some effects for atmosphere (Boss looper; Cathedral reverb; TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 reverb pedal; Roland chorus; vintage Rat distortion; maybe a little bit of the Space Station’s string harmonizer setting).

I haven't used ebow on bass myself but I see a lot of great YT videos out there on fretted and fretless bass with ebow. And yeh, Irish living in America for about 20 years :D

I just hate all of the devices went with a 9V battery. 2 AA's would have been great.

Good video but what's with your correct pronunciation of ' comparing ' and then you mispronounce ' comparison ' there is only one r in comparison not 'comparrison' as you say in video !

Different regional pronunciations. One is the American pronunciation, one is not. I'm from Ireland. Closer to where the language was invented.
