I still have the lime 6 spider but having this joyo I don't use the other anymore It's so loud and with an overdrive it sounds amazing

Right I remember going to jam with a friend and that's what they had I'm a bassist and at the time had a carvin pro bass 200 1x15 combo and yeah it was a line 6 mark 2 and that thing sounded like two sick cats fighting in a burlap sack while pooping

Lol! Agree! I do not like those line 6 amps. When I was a kid it was peavy, fender or marshall, mostly peavy, because they were cheaper, and really cheaper amps were so bad, nothing could fix them. When those line 6 amps became a popular item, half my guitar playing friends went crazy over them and they all bought one. Myself, I always hated them.

I had the Jim root terror and this little amp is really damn close! Also the zombie sounds really close to the mesa mark v gain, tight and glassy. These amps blow most of the other lunchbox amps away at a fraction of their cost. Nicely done Ola.

This sounds way more aggressive than the Micro dark to be honest. Way tighter low end and much more aggressive mid range. Great job Ola! Nicely done.

It's not bad, REALLY needs an OD in front to tighten it up though. It's honestly best as a headphone amp, though I haven't had the opportunity to play it through many cabs. It WILL NOT keep up with a metal drummer though. This is purely a practice/bedroom amp.

So true. Same with the Zombie. Actually sounds better than the original Mesa Boogie! I suspect these little hybrid tube/solid amps will be the future. They sound better than plug ins and are much easier to handle than all tube heads.

Yeah I bought one, and it doesn’t have the treble bite from this video. My signal is black winter pup into the joyo, into Harley benton 2x12 w v30’s, so almost identical. But then added eq in front and there it is.

Love the riff man. These new Joyo amps are great. I already have an original Dark Terror and a Micro Dark. I am going to pick up a Joyo Zombie and Joyo Meteor to have more options. I really love this concept of mini amps made for a specific sound. One good sound is really all most guitarists want anyway. I wish they would have had these things around when I was you and looking for a practice amp to learn on.

I've been seeing Joyo a lot on youtube lately. They're definitely kicking their social media marketing into high gear. They do have some cool stuff for good prices though. I can see them getting super popular with the younger bedroom guitarists.

Bought that Zombie amp. It sounds insane with my engl 2x12 V30! I mean, it costs practically nothing and you get a great sound. Perfect for studio or bedroom jamming. It might lack some volume for live situations, but still... Joyo makes one of the greatest small amps out there. PS: thanks for your videos Ola!

Is it possible to plug it directly to my interface and use cabinet impulses or do I need a loadbox?

You'll definitely need a loadbox or something like a Radial JDX48. Plugging an amp straight into a sound card is not a good idea I think! haha. A second solution can be: recording your FX loop send. That way, you bypass your power amp section and you can use a cab sim. You'll still need a DI to plug it into your sound card though... Hope this helps :)

Instead of manually pluging & unpluging cables from amp to amp - get a Switchblade channel selector ( grey one ). It's only 20-30 euros and works just fine.

Just brought nano Lagacy Eagles heart. German amp simulator. 5 watts, blow your head of. Defiantly metal/rock goes nice with some fast blues style stuff with double stops as well. Get this, its even smaller its tiny..But, the head phone set up on it works which is more than i can say for my vox night train, sounds crap with head phones. Any how, my neighbours like it .

I think I like the sound of the Meteor better than the Zombie. It sounds like a wha pedal vibe where the Meteor sounds much better and more real to me. At least in this video. I might have to get one of these as well. I'm still waiting on my Jackman II to get here, hopefully tomorrow so I can send my DSL100HR head in for some repairs. But thanks for making these videos and helping people like me make decisions for cheap quick fixes and itches to scratch without getting murdered by the wife for spending too much money. .

Had they included a footswitch, that thing would have had a massive impact on the low budget players and those who want a small gigging alternative. What they built is an amp that doesn't offer an amazing recording on a budget alternative to the great VSTs out there and is unusable if you want to switch channels on the fly while practising/gigging.
