I agree the jlx is very similar with jlf. If you are looking for a different feel, you can try the jlx silent. It came with sanwa microswitch not omron. And boy, it is super sensitive. Everything is the same with regular jlx except the sanwa microswitch is very light causing very quick actuation. You can also adjust individually each direction actuation by movint the small yellow setting in each microswitch. So you can make say right more sensitive, while keeping other direction with the same feel.

It’s a typical case of “if it’s not broken, why fix it.” It’s not an upgrade to a perfectly fine JLF but if ,like me after 8 years, you have a faulty JLF , then get a JLX. I recently ordered a JLX with a 2lb tension spring for my Razer Panthera

I never liked Sanwa but the Otto kit makes there sticks worth it If you have already a JLF stick I prefer Hori Hayabusa sticks or now definitely the new Qanba silent sticks The feel of the actuations are better That's also because I'm heavy-handed I grew up playing in American arcades so everything was a struggle but I know a lot of players that prefer Sanwa over everything else so it's just on opinion but the Otto is a great up grade Love the reviews keep up the great work to you and your brother thanks for doing this channel bro

Al final del vídeo no pude entender si la última palanca tenía una zona muerta más amplia por el actuador o si la zona muerta para marcar movimientos era más chica 😬
@ButtonClubFGCАй бұрын
The dead zone was smaller because of the larger actuator, but I felt it was too sensitive because it was right on the switches.

Can you review the upgrade to this JLX-TP-8YT, the SANWA JLX-TPML-8YT-SK Adjustable Silent Leaf Microswitch Joystick? I ordered one and am waiting for it to arrive. I read that you can set your actuation for individual directions, for example making up harder to accidentally press compared to the other directions as well as being silent.
@ButtonClubFGC6 ай бұрын
I might eventually but it won’t be in the very near future. I have a line up of over a half a dozen videos in the works already and I’m focusing more on lever-less currently. But maybe some day. Either way, thank you for the comment and the idea. When I get to it, I got you enjoy and keep pressing them buttons.

@@ButtonClubFGC Thanks, shadowfury. My SANWA JLX-TPML-8YT-SK Adjustable Silent Leaf Microswitch Joystick came in recently. Here's my quick review in case you are interested : the adjustable actuation is very good and very easy to set even when screwed in and installed in the chassis with a short screwdriver, and it is totally silent. I set Up to longest actuation and LRD to shortest. Along with a 2lb tension spring mod it is way way better than my previous joystick. Fwiw I have a kitsune but find it confusing to use.

I just installed a JLF in my Arcade 1up Pac Man and it just doesn’t respond like the old joysticks in the 90’s. Now it does respond better than the stock one, but still has hesitation. Any suggestions???
@ButtonClubFGC3 ай бұрын
What’s cool about the JLF is that it’s very mod able and lots of company’s make replacement parts for it. Try looking up an oversized actuator. It will kill the dead zone of movement with no response. You can find them at some many places online depending on where you from. Just throw oversized actuator into the search bar. Best of luck and I hope that helps. Thanks for the support.

Do you know if the jlx fits on 8bitdo stick?
@nerdstrangler480410 ай бұрын
JLX is quite small, it fits in pretty much anything. But yes, it will definitely fit in an 8bitdo. The problem may be the connectors. I chose to solder my wires directly to the board, but if you don't know how to solder, I think the switch version can plugged into the existing connector, but the xbox version requires an adapter.
@ButtonClubFGC10 ай бұрын
It should fit, but I can't say 100% since I'm not as familiar with the 8bitdo

@@d2nt3 yes that works... I didt some time ago. Now the question is.... I have a circular gate for figthing games..... But i need a bigger actuator. I dont know if 1mm, 1.5mm or 2mm are better. Do you know about that?
@Monkeysmileboy9 ай бұрын
@@pacificostriker Larger actuators just help cover dead zones, but you don't want too large of an actuator as it can cause miss inputs for being so large and close to the micro switches

No if it’s a ps4 version the board won’t accept it. It’s an officially licensed PlayStation product though so it should work already on ps5 for fighting games. Otherwise, the Brook wingman converter is your best friend for past generation controllers.
