Did he ever skate to anything by Trans-Siberian Orchestra? I'm aware of the Savatage-TSO connection, but can't find the footage I'm looking for. I could've sworn it was during an Ice Wars one year...

Jesus. I don't think he'd ever pulled off 5 triples in a pro competition in the 13 years after the 84 Olympics leading up to this. Every jump looked easy and relaxed. Massive height, confident landing. Where was THIS guy at the peak of pro skating a few years prior? That would have put him in Boitano territory circa 94 to 96. Triple axel, lutz, flip and then 3/3 Toe Loop combo... aaand he was in his mid 30s. Outstanding.
