I think JP may be the only person that loves using the components of a half time shuffle more than me. Many lessons he gives incorporate this type of triplet feel. Which I love. When I first obtained the original Bernard Purdie instructional VHS in the early 90s I quickly discovered almost everything you’d ever need to play is wrapped up into this one feel and drum pattern. Which JP demonstrates effortlessly over and over in his educational videos. Thank you for making these videos they are always helpful and great reminders of what can be done with triplets and half time shuffles.

Love these breakdowns. I thought the performance was phenomenal, but to get the curtains pulled back and get an inside view is pure magic. Didn’t even notice the left hand downbeats, but when you demonstrated taking them out, it’s like the floor disappeared. Thank you for sharing!!

Man, you have no idea how much this just helped me. I've been slacking on triplet improvisation for about the last two years. Even when I watch some of the triplet courses on your website I still find myself not sounding good and uninspired. I've been playing the last two triplet partials in my grooves for a while but don't really know where to go from there, but the LrrllR six stroke rudiment might have just gave me a breakthrough. You're the man Jp, perfect timing as always
