I feel like PDP is right up there with the big boys now. They have numerous configurations now in several different finishes. And their hardware line has improved. I know some swear by the older kits cause the wood was American maple but I really like the new stuff. Best of all it’s affordable still.

Are the shells thick or thin? Bearing edges? And any reinforcement hoops? Almost about to pull the trigger. Wish you had a 20" kick
@dwdrums5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, Thanks for the inquiry. The PDP Classic Shells are 100% maple. They are actually quite thin (6ply toms and 7 ply bass drum)) They do not come with reinforcement rings. The toms are incredibly full sounding. They are also quite dry due to the wood hoops. i am 100% for sure that you will love the Classic line.

Exactly, want a 20” BD and a 10” tom
@jasonschooler44504 жыл бұрын
@@sneakerjoe23 same, i know 10" toms were never offered on vintage era kits ( such as 40's - 60's) but 14x20 and even 12x20 were an option. Some times 18's are just too small and 22's are the opposite. Come on pdp please listen to us. I bought a 24, 13, 16 brand new at Guitar Center in Orange County for $499. The sales guy said they were blowing it out cheap because they aren't selling. Every other store I've visited as well as DW owner John Goode have told me that they are selling like crazy everywhere. $499 new, I'll take it. What is more amazing than the price of my kit is the fact I stopped by a Guitar Center on my way home from the NAMM show. Yeah I know, I cant ever get enough of checking out gear. Gearslut, guilty as charged!
