Mr. JP Cormier shows the beauty, kindness and emotion of our beloved, Stompin' Tom Conner, who my deceased Dad & I at a young age, listened and danced to Stompin' Tom Conners records, it was the 70's and into the 80's but Dad & I still listened to them and loved them!! Thank you Mr. Cormier for your wonderful tributle!

My aunt Mary Mcintyre did 70 concerts with Stompin Tom in 1990, and a 1991 6wk tour as well. I will have to follow up with her on this one, as I am sure she will have some great stories from that time.

90 percent of human beings are simpleton fools. Due to this, 3 minute 4 chord 5 note melody bullshit songs are all that people want. Real talent gets buried because it's too sophisticated to truly hit people. They can't comprehend it.

@@vzeller I've started playing music such as Doc Watson etc...in small venues (my favorite places to play). Audiences are flabbergasted hearing this kind of music...I enjoy telling stories of Doc whenever feasible....I spent 5 long years practicing this music before performing. This Canadian gentleman in this video is outstanding BTW! 👍

There is nothing liking, sitting around the kitchen table which is where everything happens in a Newfoundland household. You get 2, 3 5 guys with guitars 🎸 a fiddle. Oh did I mention that there could be a few beers he said laughingly. But not a better time could be had. Family, friends and relatives and anyone who happened to drop by. All were always welcome and all were fed. A wonderful province that I am proud to say thanks and where I am from.

you know what they say about opinions huh? Sure glad Jp wont be listening to yours. Sometimes the right thing to do is keep your opinions to yourself if its only you that finds value in them. It truly is unfortunate that you will go through life as the example of ignorance has an opinion. Dave Gunning is a fine musician and a gentleman and you should not dishonour him with such trash talking about someone he respects. I expect you to apologise to him on this forum.
