JP’s story breaks my heart. He is cocky, sure. But you can tell it comes from a place of loneliness and insecurity. He’s so sensitive and people either use him, or think he’s a twat for his compensatory cocky facade. They don’t bother to look at the good he tries to do, or the fact that his life is falling apart and he’s desperately gripping onto the last shred of what he considers family he has left. I hate when he realises he’s being used by people, or people are humouring him or mocking him, and he kind of stutters into accepting the situation because he knows that if he stands up for himself, he’ll be abandoned.

Perfect summarise of JPs character . He’s the most complicated in fact from rest of the homies and that’s why most interesting

I love the way they fight so awkwardly and Englishly!, and JP trashes the kitchen in a kind of half hearted way!

@@lydiamichaels1976 It was a tongue-in-cheek fabrication. There is no such word as ‘Englishly’ obviously.

Classic example of when the trust is gone, the relationship is gone. They should have called it a day when it all came out about Heather - neither of them really wanted this, they just wanted the comfort and the familiarity. Ah, the relive the naivety of uni days

Kingsley and JP in particular I was looking forward to coming to a head but tbh it's underwhelming because it's so badly written. No one would never stay in a place where someone was throwing knives and dropping irons at them, the line 'I am more important than you' from JP is played for a laugh but undercuts his character development and Kingsley reacts way too passively even for a passive character to being physically threatened.
