I'd recommend Mike Cherry's book from the early seventies called On High Steel. Unfortunate it's very expensive, but one heck of a good read. Would agree with what is being said here. Quite a video to watch.

Does the structural aspect of this construction run 24/7 ? Is the tower crane limited to only working when there is daylight or can they just run all of this all night long?

@ 9 Mile Productions: How far along in the construction process were the steel workers at the time this video was shot? Are they nearing the conclusion of the erection of J.P.Morgan Chase's new skyscraper, or do they still have some way to go to top it off? Wonderful nighttime views of the brilliantly illuminated landscape spread out so far and wide below these workers, panoramically displaying the full glory that is New York City! Kudos to every one of these intrepid steelworkers - they clearly admire and respect their craft!

Is this the leaning tower building, like the millennium leaning tower building in San Francisco?
@9mileproductions11 ай бұрын
This is 270 Park Avenue…the soon to be world headquarters of JPMorgan-Chase…designed by Foster+Partners. The project you are referring to is 161 Maiden Lane (also known as 1 Seaport) an incomplete 670 ft (205 m) tall residential skyscraper in the Financial District of Manhattan, designed by Hill West Architects. The building overlooks the East River and topped out in September 2018. The building leans 3 inches (76 mm) to the north as a result of the method used to construct its foundation. As of 2023, only half of the finishes, including windows, have been installed.
