It was a long process and we didn't think we would ever finish the job. The beehive in the wall was huge.

Nice to see a bee removal job where you don't treat it like a chop shop. So many removal guys want to hack into the structure then charge hundreds extra for "extraction repairs". Then when you say you will fix the holes yourself they don't even want to do the job anymore. Glad you guys treat it ethically. I know it is expensive enough as it is and at least you do what you can do respect the persons property and money.

I love doing bee removals. our state allows beekeepers to remove hives without the licenses if we do not do repairs and have a licensed contract hired by owners to repair work. only repair work allowed is minor repair with no new materials. am glad to see more videos.

Love watching your video's JP. I'm 30 miles east of Indy and always put out a big garden, this year had 3 or 4 tomato plants that produce no tomato's. Talk to a few people and was told "only" bubble bees pollinate tomato plants cause when they fan there wings it make a b flat sound ? Went on to hear not only are we loosing honey bee but all bees.

Yappy did 2/3 of the work and got the queen. JP provided smarts a plan and drove to Home Depot. BTW, I can't believe that house had a girder (or a floor joist??) touching the ground in N.O. Even if it was treated wood. A *FEAST* for termites!

+Lynn Etheridge they did settle down. I babysat them for about a week after the removal & they had settled down nicely. These wound up going to my buddy Schawee in the swamp. We'll see how they do this year once they come out of winter but I spoke with Schawee today & he didn't lose many colonies at all this winter & I know for a fact this one is doing well. Glad you enjoyed the video btw :-)

If it was in fact more than one hive, couldn't that explain the aggression? also, i was reading up on plants that repel bees like basil and mint, have you ever experimented with planting something like that at the base of a house or shed? anyway, great work, love that you put it back better than it was when you got there. It was one colony. Bees happily work basil so that’s out, mint doesn’t bother them either. Honestly, I don’t believe there’s a plant out there that would discourage them.
