JP anchoring while switching from pop punk thrash to subtle jazz swing made me forget who I was for a moment there..

That bit on anchoring on the cymbals sent me into a real trance even after he said exactly what he was gonna do. This is meta level improv: I'm here catching onto a section of the video that he said the audience would catch on to! Lol

I also think that playing so deliberately by always having clear ideas of what is going on while you improvise, make you play with more confidence and emotions. It looks like everything was intended to happened exactly that way. Even if inside it’s another story. It helps the poker face ;)

Super proud that I got to notice your subtle anchor which for me got to be choking the hats or play along with it, but I didn't notice it by the counting. It's more of a feel. Great content, will use it for my drumming.
