WHY does no one shoot the obvious for these pedals i.e. record a number of vocal phrases and A/B the before and after recordings?!?!

That’s a good point. Noted. 📝

QUESTION: Later in the video you shared feed back and said you would like to see "6 controls instead of just 3..." Is there a benefit to having a guitar and vocals going through one pedal? I'm sure if Flamma adds the 3 extra controls / features, the price will also increase to where it might not be much as a bargain over just buying two pedals. One for vocals, one for guitar. Thanks!

I’m spending some time imagining using that alongside the RP-80, RC-5, & mix… I’d probably have some kind of meltdown..🤔

It’s a lot but once you get it how you want it, it’s a nice pedal. 👍🏻

Another correction pedal review where the correction that most people would want to use is ignored because the reviewer just wants to turn the correction all the way up and do their Justin Bieber T-Pain BS voice.

Showing the extremes is obvious I suppose and the work is in the subtle tweaks that you can do. Fair point and I take that feedback on board. 👌

This is a very cool video. I really like how you demonstrate each part. Quick question though, can plug guitar and mic at the same time or this is only for mic/voice?

I have one. The chromatic correction is surprising, in that it ignores any tonal hints from the guitar (or keys) input. Convenient to not have to set tonic and modes.
@JohnPaulMusicUK7 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s an interesting idea from them and make it chromatic to make it easier. 👍🏻 After filming I spent some time slowly Turing the dial and played it back with interest. The slightest movement can make a huge difference. 👌

@@JohnPaulMusicUK Under headphones and moving past 50% I was able to detect wild variations I had not realized I was making. In this capacity it is providing feedback so that you correct yourself more pro-actively and it becomes less needed. It is not cheap, but the well-thought options (phantom) and ease of use serve where the larger Boss or TC units may be too much. OTOH some may not want to be bound, as it apparently is, to A440.

I can't see using this live. Way too fiddly. When I'm singing, I'm focused on my performance. Unless this remembers one's settings?

So… in yellow mode, you could turn the feedback up to 100% and use the delay as a very restricted looper and channel your inner KT Tunstall?

Nice review! I have been looking for a vocal processing tool that is easy to use and that I can use for streaming live on social media while I play guitar or piano. Not sure if chromatic pitch correction will sound that good though... My assumption is that something that can hear the key or where you can actually set the key manually is better. Maybe the RC 600 or something else is better for that? I would really appreciate your input on this 😊

you never talked about the gain button and function🤷🏽
@JohnPaulMusicUK7 ай бұрын
Ahhhh damn. Sorry. You are right. The gain is a dial on the back and is there to increase or decrease the volume of the input into the unit. Use it with caution as it’s sensitive.

how does voice correction compare to TC Helicon C1?

Can I use it in a mixer as an fx processor to process 2+ microphones(aux send/return ports)? Would it work well, or better to buy one pedal per one microphone?
@JohnPaulMusicUK7 ай бұрын
Never thought of that! That’s a coool idea.. but.. it depends. If both singers are singing together then yeah you’re gonna need one each for it to recognise the tune and correct it. But you could get one and try it and see if it does do it.
@Fateslav7 ай бұрын
@@JohnPaulMusicUK I'd like it mostly to use as a reverb and delay processor. So I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. I wonder why no one shows this feature

It is waaay too complicated.... so Paul Newman would not be able to use this../he was color blind/
@M_C794 ай бұрын
I'm colorblind as well, and yes, it's a real issue. Trying to distinguish red from green on the fly is nearly impossible, especially on a stage with colored lighting.
@esparka4 ай бұрын
@@M_C79Do you not have an ability you learn the difference in hue & be able to then recognize which hue correlates to which color, and hence you develop an awareness of the levels ur on on this pedal? My father was color blind & there apparently a way to tell which color was which, after studying & ascertaining the hues, Now, my father did say it was very difficult to distinguish specific colors, just as you said…. Thank you for your time,
@M_C794 ай бұрын
@@esparka It depends on the situation, the ambient lighting, etc. Sometimes, the red and green are of a sufficient intensity to where, yes, I can see the different. But most often they're not. And on stage it's even worse. But I don't expect companies to accommodate every single need. I can usually find a way around things -- and I tend to "set it and forget it" anyway
