Thanks for yet another really good video! One video I haven’t found is how to make in the RC-500 work exactly like the RC-30, you know when you start recording track 2 and wait a bar or two before you start playing. And then when the RC-30 has recorded the loop for track 2 it starts overdubbing immediatly so you can finish the two bars in the beginning, instead of creating a paus for the two bars you didn’t play, which is the best I’ve managed to make the RC-500 do.

Yes. You just need to change the play mode from the default of REC/PLAY/DUB to REC/DUB/PLAY. This way it will move straight into overdub mode. 👍🏻 To do this, Press MEMORY>REC ACTION. It will be set to REC->PLAY by default. Switch this to REC->DUB and save it. Hope that helps. 👍🏻

@ Great! Thanks! I missed that alternative under MEMORY and REC. 🙃Just tried it, and it works like a charm. ✨🎻⚡️ When I press the pedal I set to Track 2 the overdubbing on Track 1 stops and it starts recording on Track 2. Thank you again! Keep up the good work! 👍🙏😊

At around 7:20 you're describing how when you switch from a track with 4 bars to a track with 8 bars that you'll be coming into the 8 bar track half way. Is there a setting where the 500 will play out the tracks from beginning to end no matter how many bars? 5? 7? whatever? Thanks for the video.

Hello John, thanks for all your efforts to help us learn our gear. I have a question, I currently have a RC-500 and when I cover "Band on the Run" I have to use 3 presets for the different parts of the song. I was wondering if the RC-600 can maybe do these drum changes in one preset? thank you.

Hey. That’s a great shout. The nice thing with the RC-600 is you can import your own beats or make your own beats with the RC Rhythm Converter. Take a look at this and you can have 4 variations with intro, fills and outro. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eae8dqylhtNke8ksi=6Y1dH7TfGM9OJebb
