How To Solve the Rubik's Cube FASTER ► kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJ7InZiFa5p1fsU PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING. I try to reply often, but "I don't get step X" or "it doesn't work" is too unspecific and I can't help unless I know exactly what problem you have. *MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE 4 MOVES* 1:52 has the 4 moves, and you have to be able to do this to understand what "4 moves" means when I use it again later on. *COMMON FIRST LAYER PROBLEMS* Step 1 & 2. If the side colors of the cross or first layer don't line up the way I showed it in the video, then you need to redo it. Pay attention to ALL of the colors on one piece, and don't just pick white pieces randomly. I talk about this in the video, how I'm trying to match the other colors of the white piece (like white/orange etc.) *TAKING PIECES OUT OF THE SECOND LAYER* Step 3. At 5:33 I say "you should already know how to do this". I admit this is unclear. You should insert a random yellow edge into the second layer using the same algorithm you use for solving the second layer. If this does not make sense, watch the example solve video linked at the bottom of this comment. *COMMON TOP LAYER PROBLEMS* Step 4. If you can only get 1 or 3 edge pieces of the top cross, you need to reassemble the cube as solved. Step 5. There should be no problems here. Step 6. If you ever get only 2 corners in the correct location, you need to reassemble the cube as solved. Step 7. Finish the 4 moves (don't stop at 3) every time. Turn the bottom (don't rotate the whole cube) to get the next piece. If it STILL does not work, you need to reassemble the cube as solved, or physically twist all the corner pieces back to solved (don't force it, you may break your cube). "Why do I need to reassemble the cube?" Randomly assembling the cube only has a 1/12 chance of being solvable. If you've ever taken the cube apart or twisted corner pieces, then that can be the problem. If stickers have been switched, you will have to switch them back. Full example solve: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epbTd4Smf5p-p7c

My son's friend asked me how to solve a rubiks cube. I said eh, I dunno, let's look it up. Wound up here. I'm a disabled combat veteran with a brain injury but this instruction was dope so I managed to solve it. I went "Ah that's fun" started watching other videos here and Tingman videos. Wound up ordering a speed cube off Amazon that showed up today (the next day.) Somehow I managed to solve once at around 3 minutes today even with slower hand eye coordination and reaction time. TIPS: For first time solvers that are slow (like me). Pause each step or move, then mimic. Before solving, practice the 4 moves left side and 4 moves right side. Hi. You would use the left side if the white corner is pointing to the left and right side if the white corner is pointing to the right. If the white corner is pointing upwards, I would suggest doing the right side 3 times. With regards to the "flipped in second layer": to get it out, just use the algorithm you would have used to put it in, but with a random yellow piece. With the yellow cross, to remember where to put the yellow edges, think 9 o'clock and quarter past 9 on a clock face.

I'm 50 years old and got my first Rubik's Cube when I was 10 and have never been able to solve it. In February 2021 I set out to finally learn how to solve one. Using a bunch of your videos I managed to learn how to do it in about 5 days and went from averaging 5 minutes initially using the beginner method to under 1 minute with the beginner method now in December 2021. I only use the beginner method and can't wait to learn CFOP. Need to master F2L and look ahead first. Me and my kids love your videos! Keep it coming!!!

So my girlfriend wanted me teach her how to solve the cube. I told her I'd love to but made sure she knew this wasn't something people learn overnight. I sat on FT with her for 30 minutes and watched her solve it herself. No online resources. No book. Nothing. The next evening she was able to replicate the method she used and it was pretty similar to a standard LbL method. Turns out she remembered everything from the one time I showed her how I solve the cube using CFOP. She was able to take the fundamentals of solving one layer and apply that same logic to solve the second layer intuitively. For the last layer she spent a bit experimenting with different algorithms that maintain the first two layers and ended up coming up with the standard F(sexy)F' and Sune. She found ways to apply those to solve edged. Then she was able to go back to first layer corner logic to solve LL corners. I suspect that the first time she may have ended up with a slipped step because there's just no fucking way that anyone could do that in 30 minutes but it's time like these that remind me how wickedly smart she is. Up until now, I was the only person I knew personally who had learmed 3x3 without online resources and it took me close to a week and was equated to around 8 hours time. She did it in 30 minutes and was able to replicate it. Last night she figured out the basics of F2L, once again only off of my previous descriptions of the concept. I know this is a random comment section on KZbin and nobody came here to read this but if this doesn't prove that anyone can solve the cube, I don't know what does.

Found this video today. Solved it 3 times with the video helping me for each specific problem I’ve encountered. With about 6 hours of messing with it and messing up even with the video I put it down. 30 min later picked it back up and I was determined to do it without video. Finally did it & I have you to thank. Thank you cube god

Thank you for this! I just solved my first cube! I'm sure the video creator would have pulled his hair out if he had been trying to teach me in person. It took me a couple of hours but now I think I could solve them faster. Thanks!

This method is brilliant. I've spent years trying to solve a cube, I watched this this morning and I've been solving them all day since! Thanks so much

thank you so much for this amazing visualization. i used to be able to solve a 3x3 after being taught by my dad but for the life of me couldn't remember how to do the last layer now that i was trying it again after quite a few years. actual life saver because this would have plagued me forever, and i just can't understand those algorithms without getting confused

This channel got me into speedcubing years ago. I still watch every upload and I average around 15 seconds. (It's 20 seconds now, but I'm learning all new OLL algs for finger trick optimization so that doesn't count imo) Thank you a ton, Jperm. You gave me my favorite hobby

Always wanted to solve a Rubik's cube and never thought I'd be able to. Spent a few hours watching this video over and over again a couple of days ago. Now just solved one in under 4 minutes! Amazing video, thanks so much!
