Since you're taking requests, I have two: 1) how to teach someone to solve using mirIS - this method only uses inverse sexy and its mirror, so it's great to teach someone new IRL because you don't have to write down a bunch of algs and explain notation etc. Just going over how it works and how to explain it to a non cuber could be very helpful! 2) It's a long shot, but a "concise" Heise tutorial would be amazing. Just an overview of how it works like you did with Roux, I'm sure it would get lots of people into it! Incidentally, your tutorials are literally the best. You've recently motivated me to learn BLD, get back into 4x4 and now 5x5, and to start dabbling in Roux. Thank you

7:50 when you take out edge from back slot and put it into the front to flip it, you also put upper-back edge into the back slot. So if this edge was completed as in this video, you will occasionally destroy it.
@joeljohnson43142 жыл бұрын
i noticed the same thing. if you want to flip a back edge like in the video, make sure that when you take it out, it is replaced by an unsolved edge.

What would time do you think is best for edges? I solve centers in 20-30 seconds and then edges in 35-45 seconds, and I average around 1:35. How could I get my edge times down to around 25-30 seconds?
@JPerm6 жыл бұрын
i dont use redux so im not sure about splits. try to see if you're worse at first 8 edges or last 4 edges, cause those are pretty different. for f4e you can try to store them all in the same layer, so that the next 4 edges are done with easier look ahead. i personally never used this for redux, but my redux times are really inconsistent probably due to look ahead (i average around 1:25 with redux). for l4e, try to avoid slice+flip+slice unless it solves 2 wings at once. if you bring the back 2 edges into the top layer, you can do slice+insert+slice which almost always solves 2 wings at once.

you can, but then you will end up with a three cycle that you will have to solve afterward (if you use lukas parity). Its just easier and faster to learn 5x5 lukas parity. the only difference between the 5x5 parity alg and 4x4 is on the first Rw' of the alg (the 7th move) you do Rw' but with 3 layers on the right instead of two (3Rw'). Hope this helps!
