I got mine about a week ago and have yet to run it. I did purchase 2 3 cell powerhobby (5400 Mah, 100c) hard case batteries and they fit perfectly in the battery compartment with the foam pad provided by losi. Can't wait to take her out. I am typically one who drives with great care and maintain the like new appearance.

Been sporadically watching your videos for a while, first time I've seen your face! This video was really helpful as I just picked up an SBR 2.0 and none of my GensAce or CNHL packs fit! Such a PITA as I was hoping to run it tomorrow but I guess it'll have to wait.

It’s a great truck. The rear brace is important, but other than that I’d say it’s good to go as it is. Then just upgrade as you go along… enjoy it.

Hey man, great to see a fellow Canadian. The Losi LMT got me back into the hobby and man these rcs are insane now! Looking at picking up a Super Baja Ray 2.0 (love the scale suspension and quality Losi puts into their rigs) or Looking at a Xmaxx which everyone is raving about. Both are huge purchases, especially here in Canada, and would like to hear your opinion on which one you would go with. Oh ya, there's a flash sale going on with the Super Baja for one more day and very tempted to pull the trigger haha

There it is! I can tell your really excited for this truck 🤩 I had the 1.0 and it was only 6s, so 8s is a great upgrade. I wonder if that 750kv motor is the same one that is in the DBXLE 🤔 if so that will be plenty for the SBR. Your right about the rear of the cage. Tons of videos complain about that. Excited to see you run it ! Based on your style I would say it's gonna hold up great stock. Mine did and I didn't jump it to high 👍
@JasonPerrinRCVlogs3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I forgot that the sbr1.0 was 6s. That was the big thing when the SRR came out that it was 8s. I am looking forward to,running it. But I’m not looking forward to running it in the snow. No traction so it’s not a lot of fun. I’m thinking of grabbing a set of the new proline Dumonts for the exb’s.

I have the same truck and I've had it for about a year and a half. I do drive it gently and treat it like the shelf queen it is. By that I mean it has never been bashed or misused in any way. It does what I want it to do without fail. My only disappointment has been with the two front light bars as they seem to go out for no apparent reason. I've lost five in total. A replacement set of light bars are costly. I won't replace them just to have them fail again. If enough go out I'll just pull the plug and go lightless. My losi raptor Rey and UDR have lights that have worked without fail. Your thoughts?

I've learned over the years not to put all that hop up aluminum on it... if something goes wrong just replace it with the stock part and if that stock part keeps breaking easily then upgrade it to aluminum only if you like that vehicle a whole lot😉

You must tighten up the shock on the side that torques down and activate AVC in order to resolve that issue. Straight axles are susceptible to motor torque impacting drivability.

omg that front bumper light bar I JUST finished hacking a cheap lightbar into a mojave; THIS was the solution! part searching now, this one maybe bigger so workable! Nice channel, fellow ontarian. you're decent at improvised talk, voice is fine and oral content nicely balanced between age groups. that said if chasing analytics, just do (editing style) what Kevin Talbot is doing. Though suspect is not your actual intent. So what's the deal with "don't like me talking" comment(s) lol What's your comparative....the action stuff? If so note your action stuff is sub par from what I've seen. (not saying is bad, is just boomer driving rc car lol....like me :D) imo for all you know the analytics you're seeing is peeps who jumped to the action, because they are looking for it. Anyways, youtube size (number of viewers) is not fixed, it grows. If it were me, I would have a second channel; "Jason Perrin RC Clips". though not so sure your action clips warrant that. That said for RC's there would be MASSIVE cross channel views so even if sub-par compared to others who focus on it, you could get "coattail" views on those "clips". my personal choice, stick to "current" popular platforms, choose one of each driving style and build on the platforms. also personal choice, no traxxas unless udr

What's the run time on the 7500mah packs with both hooked up have you run them in this sweet beast of a truck
@Chills225 Жыл бұрын
I know this is old, but I just picked up my SBR and went through the paces about which batteries to run. Great vid, thank you for the battery storage compartment measurements. My issue/question is on those Gens Ace batteries you have shown and selected, technically they shouldnt be used, the Spektrum Firma 160a ESC has a maximum voltage rating of 29v, the batteries you showed by Gens Ace (redline/Older Redline 7500) are both 15.2v which would be 30.4v total exceeding the maximum voltage rating of the ESC. Care to comment or respond on that?

These are cool trucks, looking forward to your impressions. Quality control seems pretty loose between the stickers, the leaking oil, and whatever is going on with that wheel. Sheesh. That can all be fixed or ignored though 😄
@justinnitsuj70412 жыл бұрын
I agree about the quality control. Even if they had some smallish print on the box acknowledging there maybe need to do "final touches" to make truck 100%. imo is fair to both sides, I'd rather not pay someone to bare the certain tedium of fine tuning sticker placement on toy cars for 12 hrs a day lol WE are the ones who find such time enjoyable, at least much more so than someone doing it for a "living". It is also distasteful to sell something so expensive...and "fail" with the stickers....however with a bit of reasoning it is clear this would need to be done by hand....and gets pricey for what it is. But that front wheel issue Jason shows here 6:35 is not acceptable at all IF it doesn't just wipe off. The rust is meh and likely from what he said; temp changes and condensation (and why I think it'll just wipe away, is not manufacturing issues. imo....stickers that need fine tunning..no problem at all.

For the money i think they need to address the small issues you pointed out..there is nothing worse than buying something new, waiting for it to arrive and then finding something wrong with it..even the stickers the way they are would put a sour taste in my mouth as it would be a simple fix if they cared to do it..

I just find it weird that Losi haven't fixed the cage flex on that thing yet, very disappointing. I went with the UDR and love it!
@DoubleClutchProductions2 жыл бұрын
It was designed to flex so the truck doesn't explode when you wrap it up, while I agree it doesn't look good its a designed function of the cage and when you put braces on it increases the chances of twisting the chassis.

Sorry to comment again so soon but felt it necessary to note (at least in my opinion) that as good a job of improving the scale appearance of the baja rey it still falls short of the udr. Makes me wonder how incredible a 1/6th scale udr would be. I also think that the pro scale of the udr is so much more manageable the the sbr 2.0. Sometimes something can just be too big.
@DoubleClutchProductions2 жыл бұрын
I think the only thing a UDR has going for it is its looks, for the money the SBR 2.0 just flat out dominates a UDR in performance, as far as size goes they are both too big to say one has an advantage in size

Had the super Baja Rey. Ran excellent. Impossible to work on. Loading batteries from the bottom Is the dumbest thing ever. It’s always a pain in the butt. To many screws to take off the body. Everything is too hard to get too. I gave it away. The done the same thing with the 2.0. Love the truck but I won’t be buying one. To hard to work on. Just changing the batteries is a major headache. My XMaxx is so much easier to deal with. They didn’t learn anything from traxxas. Quick body removal and batteries swap With access to everything from the top.
