Traxxas X-Maxx (HobbyWing Max6 and HR Knuckles installed)

Just FYI, in the future, if you want to make your life even easier by inserting those pesky castle connectors, or EC5/8 connectors, you can use a male connector plugged to a female connector, and then use a Channellock plier, to easily insert the connector into the groove of the casing. Just simply use the two male and female plugged connectors, then use the Channellock plier unhinge it to make it larger, and put the connectors into the connector in the housing, while applying pressure with the plier, to push the connector into place. If done correctly is a 1, 2-minute job.

I know this is a old video but the spacer actually goes in between both inner bearings, so one inside the knuckle then spacer then the inner most bearing.

I have the Max6/4985 in my Notorious, sweet combo. I did do too many repositioning when installing the Max6 with the included 3M tape. So I redid the mounting with that 30lb. Gorilla mounting tape. Light pole size airs and it's still holding strong, but I am considering drilling out my esc plate, and mounting some bolts in the holes on the bottom of the Max6.

Hi, thanks for the video. Just wanted to ask if the Hobbywing ESC works similar smart like the Traxxas that when you press the trigger front on the radio if the truck is running it will brake but if the truck was already stand still it skips brake and starts reversing immediatelly (you do not need to press the trigger twice for reverse)? Thanks

Hello Jason, if I install the max 6 in my X maxx 8s will it gain any speed at all running the stock motor? Looking to put Badlands on the truck and don’t want to loose any speed.

How did you do that red tint on ur windows?

No idea. The body was hydro dipped. But Tamils does sell window paint. Not sure how well it works though.
