When people make the comparison between "The Honeymooners" and "The Flintstones," I was amazed to see an episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" episode: "Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat" which starred Audrey Meadows, the "Alice" character in The Honeymooners; where she had a scene with her husband, and when calling out his name, "Fred" the way she spread out the saying that name as "Ffffrrreeeddd," it sounded similar to the way Wilma said it to Fred Flinstone. The similarity of Meadows verbalizing Fred's name to the Wilma character was striking, indeed!

Luckily @ the end of the episode, Wilma realized that the party mixup wasn't Fred's fault.

I don't know, I think a bunch of strippers showing up to your toddler's birthday party is a pretty good reason to be mad lol

Tbf, this was her 1 year old daughter’s birthday party 😅.

I can think of so many episodes where Fred was clearly in the wrong, but Wilma getting mad at him here is kind of unwarranted since this isn't technically his fault; it was the caterer that sent the Boulderettes to the wrong party. But it's actually kind of refreshing that Fred is getting just as annoyed by them as Wilma is!

+Bowmaj 86 What's even funnier is, she got mad at him when he got rid of the dancing girls. Hey, Wilma, Fred is getting rid of the nuisance. This logic progressed so badly, with Wilma getting mad at Fred, it's best seen in the '70s Charlton comic books (which I think there were artists definitely on weed around then), and escalated into the Christmas program from the '90s, I believe, with whiny Pebbles and Bamm Bamm and other kids, "we want Santa, we want Santa" and Mr. Slate saying he is going to fire Fred and sure enough, Wilma mad at him as well.

agree,,but without a dis-logic,,there would be no story line,,the viewer is not supposed to make logic of it,,but absorb,,into the humor of the cartoon,,after all,,,imo,,lol,,,great observation...

As nice as she is, Wilma does get a bit paranoid at Fred when he even glances at a pretty woman.

Several great stereotypes reinforced here: * (0:37) there was always at least one cross-eyed kid at every birthday party; * (1:06) the dancers are all blonde, grinning, shameless, sexy, thin, bikini-clad and identical; * (2:22 and 2:46) the husbands were enamored by the dancing girls, while the wives were outraged.
