Good to see a vid with the automated opponent variant. I've played a couple scenarios with it's predecessor for Descent v2 (with the card deck). I've been wondering how the Imperial Assault version differs.

+NefariousKoel I have to confess I never really played Descent but I was aware of this variant. From what I understood it's not that different but that speaks for the solidity of the idea!

Looking forward to this Markus. I just got Descent and have downloaded Redjaks variant for that and ordered the cards from printer studio. Apparently the variants are pretty similar so I'm interested to see how it plays. Good luck!

I have to confess that I completely focused on standard game, so playing against a real Imperial Player in the last couple of months. But I may consider doing another playthrough with one of the expansion using the most current rules. Still I am really hoping for a companion app by FFG ;-)

An app would be great, even though from what I see this system is very similar to what the Descent app does so it's a pretty close alternative. BTW if you ever want to have a match through Tabletop Simulator let me know ;) Cheers

Hi! Really interesting. Until now I have passed on this one, 'cause I own Descent and apart having still to finish all the campaigns, they seems very similar in gameplay. About your request I will gladly comply :-). 1) You have used "Precise Strike" after rolling dice, but I think you have to declare and expend stress before rolling dice. 2) I doubt about this because is based on Descent rules about LoS. When you shooted with the 2nd Stormtrooper he would have the LoS passing along the Officer square be blocked, so he would have had to move then shoot. In any case a trivial thing. Generally speaking, have you perhaps in program to share impressions about games you tried or you have bought at Essen? I wuold be very curious about that ;-). Ty and bye.

Hey Marco - nice to hear from you! Actually I never played Descent (and didn't buy any of it) - I am just a SW fanboy ;-) Regarding Precise Strike you are absolutely right and I played it right as of episode 2 (which is currently uploading). Not sure if I will do a generic Essen overview video - maybe a quick and dirty "loot video" ;-) Thanks for your interest; have you been to Essen? Cheers, Markus

+Marcin Kwiatkowski I own both but you cannot really compare those! One is pure skirmish exercise with space ships and the other offers a deep and rich campaign with ground troops (and also skirmish if you like). For me the winner is pretty clear IF you have to decide of course ;-)

Where does it say you don't draw am event card in the first round? I can't find that in the rules.

Hey Travis - thanks for your comment but I can't really remember the custom "RAIV" rules and they could have changed in the meantime (it's been quite a while actually).
