Second run through of this series, really hope you revisit one day! Was a great series and Ascendancy is one of my most played games! My group and I love it! Borg rules definitely need some work though as there is too much room for interpretation, in multiplayer games and even solo they just always funnel their way through the first system to connect. Never the less, still great! A few house rules and they are much better! 😃 great play through as always!

Enjoyed the video playthrough, very nicely presented. I was slightly yelling at the screen to build ships to defend Earth over exploring though. Also you forgot about your Verteron Beam Emitters which would have given automatic hits in final two battles.

Really enjoyed this! I want to see more solo vs the Borg. I'd love to see how the Romulans do against the Borg, or maybe even two civilizations against the Borg!

Playing as the Romulans also sound like an interesting idea! Klingons solo may be difficult as they apparently live from fighting, which you try to avoid against the Borg :-D

It wouldn't have made much difference, but you could have picked up the ship in earth prior to heading into battle as well as the one you did pick up and could have engaged them with 6 ships instead of 5. Also you made the correct decision going to Janus VI because if it's tied you use the smallest number of sectors.

Loved the play through! I just picked up the Borg expansion today. I read on pg11 that when the Borg have more than 1 target at equal system distance, they choose the one that is fewer sectors away. If still a tie, then target the player with the lowest turn order (but you were solo anyway). It doesn't seem to cover what to do if still tied after that, so I agree with you that the controlling player should just choose.

Thanks so much, Kevin! I was kind of confusing sectors with systems somehow, so in this instance it was pretty clear actually (shame on me!). But yes, for all the other ties I will decide it on my own in solo play. For multiplayer the current "Borg player" makes the decisions anyway.
