Enjoying your solo play throughs 👍 keep it up! Clarification: during setup, don't you start with 4 small landscape tiles (1 on each side) as shown in the setup diagram on page 10 of the rulebook?

@@realjplay not yet... Still waiting and thinking as I'm not sure if it's worth only for solo. Sad u r not using player boards but game looks so relaxing and gorgeous that I might loose this fight😂😉

It's definitely a pretty game but also comes with a price... ;-) And personally I wouldn't recommend it just for solo actually. Definitely fun to play but in my mind that's overkill for a solo experience and there are better true solo games out there I think.

Which version is this with the plastic pagodas? Every version I've looked at seems to be the cardboard ones

Not even sure if there are different versions. The "walls" of the pagodas are cardboard in my version too, only the roofs and bases are plastic.
