No it's not. Please take an accounting course. Because of annual inflation money loses its value over time. Instead of letting that money sit and loose value, banks lend money out or invest it. The interest covers the annual lost value and it's a fee that banks earn. Nobody is forced to borrow at 25%. People choose 25% because of desperation and a poor education. Improve your credit so nobody would give you 25% or shop around for a better rate. Or maybe don't take out loans at all. Also vote. 25% is illegal in some states. If it's not in yours then get the word out to your representatives and vote.
