How come not a single popular news media ever mentions that in the late 1920's the US tried tariffs to protect American jobs. The result of going to high tariffs. First the Great Depression followed by World War II, caused, in part by the tariffs. I know most people just repeat what their favorite political media tells them. but following World War II which ended in 1945, the United States, the only major industrial nation not widely bombed during World War II, had about 50% of the world's trade. Today, North America, Mexico, the United States and Canada combined, constitute around 21% of world trade last time I checked. We can't go back to the America just following World War II no matter what, because the rest of world isn't as damaged as it was following the War. A bit off topic, but a KZbin video had a man asking people on the street questions. One young lady looking mid-20's was asked when the United States won it's independence from Britain. She replied, 1943. I realize half of all Americans have no clue about the tariffs of the late 1920's and what a Great Depression is. I read one voter saying a Depression is what happens when you have inflation. The economics answer is Depression is 25% unemployment. Again, the popular news media doesn't want Americans to know how tariffs in the late 1920's caused the The Great Depression and to a lesser degree, World War II. That doesn't sell the ads that makes the profits I suppose.

There's risks with both depending on the type of business your in and wear your businesses are located. Trump's policies will hurt some businesses with the manufacturing of products in the US to receive tax breaks. Otherwise your company will be taxed at a higher rate still lower than Harris though, unless your doing business with China. The taxes Harris offers will temp businesses that manufacturer stuff in China to vote for her. Trump getting in will crush those businesses. Then the fact it takes like 4 years to build a plant. So they will get hit with those charges. So manufacturers such as GM, Ford Tesla will be getting hit hard with taxes regardless of who gets in. However of you manufacturer in the US it will help your businesses majorly with Trump getting in. It's a two edged sword. Trump will also cut taxes in the US and on many other things. People know Trump will try and do this. Harris don't have a good history of doing this plus her plan on her site shows a 45 percent gains tax. Then a tax on a person's assets of 25 percent based on their highest amount of income. So they will get hit with two taxes. 70 percent of new taxes that's not including the 50 percent increase on taxes for Social Security. Look at her plans that are listed with Trump and Harris not what they say. Then look who pays them. That's the direction they will go after they lie to the voters. I think we kinda just got stuck with crappy candidates and have to deal with it.
