Investors get into trouble once you start chasing. Vertiv is up over 500% since last year. If you only get interested in a stock after its already gone up. You're just rolling the dice. Blind luck is a bad strategy.

fair point but you’re only thinking about the market, not the actual company. a good company with a valuable product will beat the market cycles 10/10 times

@@cdot. I actually i'm thinking about the company. Chasing means, you are only concerned by the share price. That's what chasing is. Being influenced by the stock price going higher is emotional investing. Stock price has nothing to do with company fundamentals.

You got it! That's exactly what chasing is. Many only focus on the share price. It's also , the get rich quick mindset. They don't realize they own a piece of a business.
