14:20 I recently read Firebird, and it was a fascinating read even as someone in their mid thirties. There is a reason Tezuka sensei is referred to as a God/father of manga. It's also interesting to see how much has changed in manga

Also it’s great to know that Firebird actually resonates with people from different countries and cultures as some of the chapters are heavily based on Japanese historical events and non-Japanese people may not necessarily be familiar with the topic. I’m very happy that Tezuka sensei, the God, is loved by people all around the world!

@@MelissadoesASMR I am quite familiar with Japanese history, but even without familiarity, the way he plays with parallel structures, running themes, recurring characters, its just an inspiring work for the SF/manga genres. So unfortunate that he wasn't able to finish it. That entire chapter that's drawn like its a stage production (bunraku style maybe?) floored me. Just a master of his craft.
Came to listen to this in Japanese to see if there were any dubbing changes in the English dub. (jk) Thank you so much for taking the effort to upload in two languages.
