My wife was already fluent in English when she attended my uni in England. I’m honestly thankful she never picked up an English accent. Her Japanese accent (especially when speaking English) is sooo cute!

I've subscribed quite a while ago, but I had forgotten to check up in a while. Thank you for this Q&A! As a Korean that also learned English due to my father's job, it is always fascinating to hear other people's similar but different experiences. Your English is amazing for someone that moved at 14 though. Most kids I know who started around then are never quite as fluent as you are.

You flatter me! But honestly, I just love speaking in English - I believe that’s how I got better at it☺️

You, Bill(-MaxVoxPax) and a few others are my favorite asmrists! You got an amazingly soothing voice. For a person with supersensitive hearing and sensitive to different kinds of tones, I think your voice is just perfect to ease anxiety or get me to sleep. Keep on the good work! 😊

When I saw one of your first video, I was very impressed that you can speak English so fluently. Honestly, the reason was because in 2018, my high school in Vietnam was visited by a group of Japanese high school students and they couldn't speak English. Therefore, at the time, it was kinda awkward between us; but we had a great time even though we did not really understand what each other were saying back then. 🤣🤣🤣

Ahaha I guess the English education system in Japan is not the best in the world😅 But it’s great that you had a great time nevertheless!

I got to see Muse back in 2019, it was easily the best concert I’ve ever been to! They had everything from fog machines to lasers to giant animatronic robots. I’ll never forget it.

I was so interested to learn more about one of the most fascinating asmr creators out there. I am so envious that you got to attend the Australian Open as I am also a huge tennis fan (who is very sad about Federer retiring :( ). It's interesting that you are into classical music too. I would be curious to know who some of your favourite composers are. If you like Muse I would guess that something like the music of Verdi would be appealing since I've always thought that was an influence on them. :)

I’m also very sad about Federer’a retirement😢 He was literally an epoch making figure to the tennis world! Yes, I love Verdi! Other favourites of mine are Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky (I used to be a ballet girl!) and Debussy!

@@MelissadoesASMR That's such a fitting description of his career! I agree that although some of his records were passed by Rafa and Djokovic that Fed still defined the era he played in and elevated his sport to an art form. It was such a privilege to watch. That is an amazing selection of great composers. I also am very partial to Rachmaninoff and Debussy in particular. Makes me feel like less of a nerd when I hear other people still love classic music haha. While not a huge ballet buff myself it's fascinating that you used to dance yourself. I wonder if you ever got to dance in Swan Lake. 💃😋

My otaku ass' reactions starting from about 14:00 1. She distinguishes Anime with original Manga and without when discussing favorite Animes - Ah, a fellow person of culture. 2. 2/3 of favorite stands are from Golden Wind - OH, she's a person of SOPHISTICATION. 3. Screen name Melissa is from original FMA anime OP 1 - (heavy breathing intensifies)

My dear Melissa. I have an ASMR video idea to offer you for a new hypnotic sensation: you put a loudspeaker in front of the camera, and when you speak in a soft voice into the microphone, the speaker membrane vibrates and hops grains of sand or any small object that you cover on the membrane while telling a story, a poem or whatever you want. It's an idea that comes to me from the American artist Gary Hill from a video titled "Mediations". Could you reproduce this idea in your own way?
@MelissadoesASMR2 жыл бұрын
I just checked out the clip and it’s really captivating! Thank you so much for the inspiration. I hope I can give shape to this idea🤔
