Music always changes with the times. All genres. 1970's, 80's & 90's country is long gone. Well, except for the recordings.

Yea , beginning with little Garth Brooks country music became, how did the Geezinslaw Brothers put it , " you call it country , I call it bad rock 'n ' roll . I will not repeat what George Jones said about where country music had gone before he died .

Now each time I hear it it, tears me up inside.Thank you to Clint Eastwood for putting this song in your movie.Totally a top country classic from two country treasures.

These two second-generation country stars may not have had the overall careers of their parents, but they did have this #1 from 1981. Played this one quite a bit on radio.
@JoshMorningstar7 жыл бұрын
RJ McAllister David Frizzells parents weren't country music singers, therefore he's not a "second generation country star." David's older brother Lefty Frizzell is a country music legend, but having an older brother in the business doesn't make you "second generation"-same generation, just a little later.

glad to hear lefty's name brought up, not many of todays "country" fans remember the guys and gals with the booming voice and ability to sing in the old bar rooms and clubs with bad sound systems and probably a fight going on. those are the ones that made it possible for country to last so todays stars can have their sounds bottled up and sold to the masses, even if most of them couldn't sing a note.
