That was fun, JPS. Please don't feel 'guilty' about the gifts - such a stupid emotion anyway; people sent you that stuff because they enjoy giving and especially to show appreciation for the pleasure you have given us. The picture on the tee-shirt is of Godzilla and that's his name printed underneath. The world of anime is one of wonder and excitement, to me at least, but you have enough on your plate for the moment, haha

The kettle(s) were a great idea as gifts. JP will need to get a plug adaptor and they'll likely take longer to boil in the USA cos they use half the voltage we have in the UK. Like a few people have said, just remember to boil water only - don't put the teabags or coffee in there as well ;) You should watch an episode of "Bottom" with Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson. He tries to make mulled wine by pouring read wine in the kettle and boiling it up

A lot of us in the UK grew up on Ribena (rye-been-ah). During World War 2, it was very difficult to get such vitamin C items such as oranges (they are difficult to grow in the UK). So we resorted to such fruits as rosehips and blackcurrants. Incidentally, blackcurrants are banned in parts of the US.

@@ClanLawrenceand @Michael Gibson - so the argument begins!...I'm not a tea drinker, as I think it as poison! Lol! However, when I make it for my friends, the milk always goes in last! If you find yourself at a café or restaurant, which is my background - catering and hospitality - they don't put milk in the pot! So it goes to say...milk in last, simples! Its coffee that you put milk in first, so not to scald or burn the coffee granules/powder - ground coffee is different, in that the water used is hot but not boiling!

Hi JPS - the generosity of subscribers is amazing. Just a point to note about U.K./ European voltages and USA voltages. The kettles sent to you will be rated at 220v / 240v and as you will be aware USA domestic voltage is supplied at 110v .. the kettles ‘may’ work but will be very slow to heat. It might be worth investing in a voltage step up transformer which would have 110v input and double the output to 220v .. for anyone sending electrical products from the UK or Europe just a note to bear in mind - best 👍🏻

You are a breath of fresh air mate. So humble it's unreal. You deserve all the gifts you get, for being a down to earth nice guy. Keep the fantastic videos flowing. I have something in mind for the PO box.

i ran across this video purely by chance and started watching it thinking it was completely about something else but after a few minutes i became fascinated by what i was watching . we dont appreciate how different our eating and drinking habits are from country to country and it was very interesting watching somebody trying for the first time what we never think twice about doing and your reactions were priceless and also very respectful. as a grandmother from england i would like to congratulate your parents for bringing you up so well you are so polite and respectful in every way and a lot of our boys of your age over here could learn a lot from you . as i have only watched this one video of yours im still working out what its all about but i will subscribe and watch many more of them and im sure i will get the drift as to what they are but whatever it is its a great idea . take care and god bless

I'd love to see the reactions of others, great idea. Please don't judge the Irn Bru until it has been chilled. The blackcurrant drink is called Rye-beena. Quavers are ace - very popular here.

Love how you call kettles Tea kettles lol. They are just vessels to boil water in. Love the videos you should not feel guilty about receiving gifts. Enjoy them. Best wishes from Stoke-on-Trent (The Potteries) Stafforshire, England x

This was so much fun, and I love your pronunciation of Ribena, we say it as Rye-bena which is also really nice served hot. We normally give it to the kids because of the vitamins. But hot or ice cold it’s a lovely drink. When you snuggle up with your cadburys hot chocolate and your feeling cold that’s a good time to have your hot water bottle (bag) to keep you warm too. Quavers are the best aren’t they?? Lol. Enjoy! It was great seeing you so enthusiastic about our snacks. 💙🇬🇧💙

Your face lighting up when you started with the flags....epic! You could probably use them as curtains as well if you run out of room to put them?! I love these reaction videos, it's so nice to see someone appreciating things we (UK) take for granted. Please DO NOT PUT TEA BAGS IN THE KETTLE...its just for boiling water! I know people (overseas students) who have literally boiled their noodles in them and wondered why the element got so messed up. Love this channel!! 💖

Great video JP .. it's lovely to watch you open your PO gifts. When I worked in the US I brought with me an electrical item from the UK but had to purchase a transformer to make it work properly. This was years ago back in the 60's, so things like that may be different now, but in any case I think your electricity is a little different to ours; it might be worth checking.

Fun to watch Joel, some really generous gifts there and generous reply too! Just bear in mind with Marmite less is more when you first try it. Then if you do like it you can try how much more you feel ok with the taste of. When you see someone scoop a huge dollop and then attempt to eat it off the spoon it's like NOOOOOOO!! So start with a little on toast to see what it is like.

its a hot water bottle, when I was a child our house did not have central heating, the only heating was an open fire in the kitchen. So when you went to bed your bedroom and your bed was cold. Fill that fill of boiling water and put it in your bed 20 minutes before you go to bed to warm your bed, then it also helps to keep you warm when you go to bed, I used to put mine down by my feet to keep them warm on cold nights.

Make sure you add some cool water to it too, if it comes undone you’ll get scalded in bed lol

@@sejbomb we used to leave a gap at the top the squeeze all the air out before putting the plug in. then used to wrap it in a pillow case so it didnt burn you. Never had one leak or split but yes if it did you would have been scalded.

Hi Joel! ***WARNING!!!*** ONLY USE THE KETTLE TO BOIL WATER IN!!! DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN IT!!! Cadbury drinking chocolate can be made with water or milk, tastes better with milk but if you've ran out and can't get to a shop! Add sugar to taste, if required! Hot water bag comment made me chuckle! The not water bottle is mainly used to warm the bed up, mainly before central heating and electric blankets came about! As others have suggested, wrap a towel round it and use it on an injury! Last but not least, YES!!! It would be great to see your family and friends/roommate reacting to some of the items you've received!!!!! Take care and enjoy, see you soon, in your next video!

I think they are called tea kettles in the US the same way that glasses are called eyeglasses. They like to be specific cos they don't make coffee with it. Remember it's a much faster way to boil water for cooking if you need it than on the stove. You'll probably need a UK/US plug adapter to use them tho.
