its weird to see that Japanese people are more interested in our own railways than fellow Filipino. In past few decades PNR lines is very neglected, out of date systems and barely functions and always broken but in the past years positive changes are coming.
it seems the JR203 is working hard in the Philippines. I hope that Railways in the Philippines can improve so that it will be even better in the future. Ah ... thank you too for providing Indonesian subtitles in this video
From another Filipino rail enthusiast here. These might be last time these 203s might be running for a while, since the Philippine National Railways will suspend rail operations on all its lines in a few months, to make way for the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway project that will take about 5 years to complete. In the meantime, these 203s might be painted into the white and blue livery as other PNR passenger coaches.

The sad state of Philippine National Railways is coming to its end. Thanks to Japan for its assistance in reviving PNR to its former glory and modernization. Japan is deeply involved in the construction and financing of two of the most expensive railway projects in the Philippines. The PNR North-South Commuter Railway and Metro Manila Subway. That railway line shown in the video is part of the NSCR modernization program. That will be soon replaced in its entirety and will be electrified. Japan also supplied the Light Rail Transit 1 Gen 3 rolling stocks and is constant in giving PNR its used Rolling Stocks that is now being utilized. Thank You Japan!

Indonesia has done an excellent job at keeping their railroads running, they're even electrified! I just wish the Philippines can do the same.

Timestamp 4:50. The orange rope is not a substitute for the straps. That rope serves as the demarcation line or separation between regular female passengers with priority passengers such as persons with disability (PWD), senior citizens, and pregnant women.
