I think the entire praxis of training for all sports is messed up. We all want to train more but that hurts us. Real answer is rest is the most important thing. This means skill strength speed all need a LIFETIME of development. Now obviously we sacrifice strength and speed and even health for SKILL. But think too many of us think of skill as “ongoing” when it is in part “accumulated knowledge” This means once you have a professional skill set focus on strength speed health way more. Again don’t think many sports do this. Most practices still breakdown bodies. I think once you reach a certain skill set…at least try one game or fight camp doing very very little skill work or live action. Focus on body building athletic muscles and reducing body breakdown which occurs from cortisol and lactic acid. As far as skill set training it should be way more drill mode and no impact. It should be walk thru level if you play football but for hours. This is the Russian model for wrestling. They train drills for hours and very rarely do intense.

Sean Brady clearly lost to Craig Jones. Sean hold the position and defended submissions attempts the entire fight. Craig Jones was the only one trying to finish the fight
