Lomachenko is a brilliant boxer. The best skill set I’ve ever seen. I tell you this though. His entertainment factor is off the charts. You know your gonna see action bc he’s an action fight. It’s crazy to say considering how great he is defensively. He makes opponents miss constantly but more importantly in his fights you don’t see running, clinching or any real lulls in the fight. His pace is unreal. He’s a real boxing treasure and I hope he gets the big fights and continues to succeed. He’s just a tremendous pleasure to watch.

Tracey Taggart he came in really overweight, it’s not like he missed it by a pound or 2. The fight was at 126 and he came in like 140 plus and yes he was hitting Loma low all night and the ref never did anything. Had the ref took one point it could have been a draw. On top of all that most people did think Loma did enough to win because the punches that were low should have never been counted as landed blows which if u remove all the fouls Loma out landed him by a large amount.

He’s called out the biggest names in all the weight classes he’s been in. Not sure what else he could do other then move up again but he’s already fighting in a weight class he’s to small for. Loma is 100% the most entertaining boxer out there right now. Watching him fight you don't know whether to watch his hands or his feet. The guy is unreal. I hope he fights Garcia then maybe in a year or 2 Gervonta Davis. The way he beat a top fighter like Linares shows how good this guy really is. Linares is a top class fighter and Loma done him good. The only way to have a chance of beating Loma is to go out and smother him and don't let him move, but so far nobody has been able to do that. Even in his fight he lost, he wasn't at his best but he got fucked over by poor refereeing and judging, but he accepted it and learned from it and hasn't looked back since. Loma and Billy Joe Saunders are the 2 most technically gifted entertaining boxers out there right now hands down. Sure canelo, ggg, the big 3 heavyweights, Crawford and uysk are all top fighters but in terms of entertainment and skill saunders and loma are on a different level. Loma went and watched the old greats. Marciano always crouched to the right and parried your jabs,the old school guys would hit you in the shoulders and arms. He trains his reflexes and speed with balls.

Thank you for informing me. I did hear his dad took him out of boxing, enrolled him at a traditional Ukrainian dance class before back to boxing. I just never looked it up further )
@JeffPenaify6 жыл бұрын
@@dragonsdynamite6403 I looked it up and its funny cause in the West people equate hopak to ballet, but Hopaks origins come from Cossack soldiers the whole low kicking Russian dance trope is Hopak it basically originated from soldiers doing these weird dance moves after victories to showcase their strength and skill, its normal for dudes to learn it out there

@@JeffPenaify It's Ukrainian, not Russian. I don't understand why in 2019 people still don't know the difference between 2 different nations. Yes, Ukraine used to be part of Russian empire.. but so was India part of UK empire
@JeffPenaify5 жыл бұрын
@@sergeyb8 I was just explaining as a westerners to other westerners, we all recognize the low kick squat dance as Russian, through media and other things I understand its Ukrainian and comes from Cossacks but most people in the West would recognize it as Zangiefs dance in Street Fighter, I always thought it was Russian dance moves til I actually researched it. We are profoundly ignorant of Eastern European cultures in the West I actually didnt start researching these histories til I was a grown man on my own time they dont really teach about it

Fighting is one of the things that I think I’ll never be good at, I get really nervous and get panic attacks that paralyzed me, at most confrontations. Even watching fighting videos sometimes I get that feeling. Would love to be more brave, but don’t know how to overcome that.
@masvindu6 жыл бұрын
It's tough, you gotta accept your fate, no matter what it may be, and just be resolved to live in the moment. Only then does that fear of future outcomes go away, but that is easier said then done. Usually, you only learn this by acclimating yourself through experience - choosing to face those situations regardless and willing yourself to become more.

Everyone is afraid when in that position my friend but by learning techniques and Co ordination and understanding skill level you can use fear to motivate what happens

Oh I get that too. I think you need to listen to Rory MacDonald talking about how scared George’s st Pierre before every single fight. He says it’s hilarious but georges just overcomes it time and time again.

Erick Quiñones you gotta really get the shit beat outta you in a fist fight. After that you’ll be good. Once you figure out you’re not made outta glass and can take a punch youll wanna fight all the time.

Huge loma fan, but not gonna drink the koolaid here: Jose Pedraza was able to neutralize much of lomas footwork and also weathered lomas flurry without too much trouble in the later rounds. His power is lacking in his current weight class and I have concerns about a fight with Mikey.
@mrt59035 жыл бұрын
I think that was because he couldn't throw his best punch the right hook

The fact that whenever I ask my Ukrainian friend how he's doing, and he answers with something along the lines of "good, but could be better if not for Russian's", tells me that Vasyl would be unlikely to go on the JRP after this.

I’m new to boxing which I hate as I’ve also started myself. I’m 24 and a heavyweight but I base my style around Loma as I’m also a southpaw. Honestly diving into his content and old matches has been the best learning experience yet. I’m literally 6ft so I have to be agile to get inside my opponents, kind of a mix between Mike Tyson and Loma

Lomachenko's father had him learn Ukrainian dancing, traditional for his country. It's rigorous. Joe might look at the colors he wears of his country. It isn't Russia. Kelly Pavlik is awesome. Great to hear him. Let the top pro talk Joe.

@@spartanz9991 Loma's skill set is far superior than any of the fighters I have seen... Don't bore me with the 'sucker punching', 'reactionary' boxer like Mayweather who could not even knock an amateur boxer like Connor in the first 5 rounds let alone 9... Judging by your response I guess no matter what I say you won't even re-consider your reaction... Anyway I don't like boxing as much as it's not a discipline that prepares you to be a real fighter due to its limited skill set but Loma took this sport to another level where even a guy like me is tuned in for each & every one of his fights...
