@michaelmiller71603 ай бұрын
I'm sure Penn is close to the mark about Trump, but he supports Biden and the Far Left, so why would he give an unbiased opinion? Penn was a callous Libertarian for a long time. These people tend to ignore imperfections in society and they are opposed to government initiatives to correct problems. Libertarians typically oppose the expansion of social programs and government intervention in the economy. They believe that private charities and voluntary actions are more effective in addressing social issues like homelessness. Sounds kind of heartless. Thanks Penn for you insight to Trump and your callousness. I do like Penn for his great job of tearing into religions and the elucidating the harms they do, though.
@michaelmiller71603 ай бұрын
@@last808 Not at this time. He says he supports Biden now and is no longer a Libertarian. I support anyone but the Left, but sure Trump is our only option now. But conservatives will lose thank to overturning roe v wade and being of smaller numbers; unless Kennedy helps us.

Yes, I suppose he kind of is. The average human is so wildly dull and ignorant, when the topic of an eccentric and intelligent person comes up, they usually are talked about as if they are from another planet. Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing. In the case of celebrities, it's all in how the media have conditioned normals to feels about these types (to love or hate them). Trump used to be loved before the media conditioned people to hate him. If this were not true, he wouldn't have been mentioned in damn near every TV show during the late 80s and 90s in a positive manner, nor would have millions of people watched his show every week for years. The demonization of Trump is one of the most fascinating things I've ever observed in my life.

One of my best friends in the world is an atheist, and we've had some very in-depth conversations about religion in general. It's never become hostile, or even heated. Sure, theres an extreme left at the moment pushing that 'Political correctness' gone mad and it seems like a big problem, when it really isnt and is made into a big deal by idiots... I believe MOST people arent left or right, but somewhere in the middle, but all the loud voices from extremes of both sides get the light shone on them cos they make the most noise, even if they are the minority. @truthmarshal66272 жыл бұрын
Well I speak with little filters, have throughout my career. People say they respect me for it, but professionally speaking it isn’t received well. Most folks don’t want the truth or honesty. They want you to conform to their belief system, be like them. They often consider personalities like mine, troubling, confrontational or weird. Now my wife and son, are totally different. Both go along to get along and don’t offer opinions usually. Both are loved by friends and coworkers and are well received in general. Both get promoted. So I’d say there is a price to pay for everything. Couldn’t tell you which is better personally. But professionally, as my friend says, my personality is a CEO type, because I do not follow anyone.

Or the one who speaks with no filters is too self-absorbed to even consider others--a truly despicable trait. Speaking with no filters is not synonymous with speaking the truth, it is just speaking what's on one's mind. If the mind is squalid and shallow, so are those marvelously "unfiltered" words. So spare us the reflexive praise of speaking with no filters. It is usually the mark of the spoiled and self-absorbed, people suffocating with envy for whom inflicting hurt is supremely satisfying and always justifiable.

Trump is a better comedian than Jillette. Change my Mind Jillette just said that he never saw Trump appreciate or understand music, that doesn’t substantiate that Trump never listened to or understood music. substantiated. I’m not sure how to prove that wrong, but Trump did get kicked off of Spotify last year when many other social media companies were banning him. Why would he have a Spotify account if he didn’t listen to music? Trump IS into movies, I have met people who don’t really care about movies (unless they have boomAdy Boom boom action) & couldn’t tell you what their favorite is. Trump’s favorite movie is Citizen Kane. He even liked Joker from 2019, despite the media trying to trash that movie.

Trump gives me vibes of, this is what happens when you minmax your character in real life. As in, I get the sense that he has put all of his skills into 'getting what I want right in this moment', and everything else has been left to shrivel. Tact, wider knowledge, loyalty, social cues. Completely regardless of politics, look at Obama's family when they're all together, then look at Trump's family.

@@Grimpmann You're missing the point. Trump is a mentally defective person. He's a sociopath.

"You look kinda fat, Joe!" Penn slipped that in as if it was Trump's comment. LOL

Adrian Van Vorhees that was the goal. Subconsciously Penn’s demons are fighting Joe’s. And winning.
