This is really a step up from your previous documentary style work with Eric Nam. I think the transitions could have been a little stronger/smoother in some places, as you've said before some editing still feels 'youtuber'ish. Other places were really strong though, especially when bringing together the concert footage and the choice of which interview sections to include. I think writing isn't your strongest point though, as with the Nam mini-doc, the narration brought me out of story rather than driving it or guiding it. I would suggest working with someone who is a strong writer, or honing your writing (I'd be happy to write for you, too, boo). Another option is to forgo narration all together and let the 'characters' guide the story line with the in-scene dialogue. Overall, I'm super proud of seeing your work culminate into this. I'm looking forward to the future and wish you many more opportunities to do what you're passionate about. :D

Hey Jre, loved the video. I'm really glad you're getting more opporunities to expand on the work you want to create. Here is a little advice about creating this kind of film Know your direction - All art has narritive. It's vital that you go into a project knowing what story you want to tell, and planning accordingly to achieve that goal. Who you talk to, what you ask, when and where you film, these are all tools. Use them like a chisel to etch your story from the granite. Don't fall into the mindest of "The story will tell itself". You are the story teller. Know your place - Who are you in the story? Who is the focus in the story? Is it a story about your experience? Is it a story about theirs? Does that focus support the narrative you want to tell in the end? Know how to expand - The most focused part of this film was the narration towards the end, and it would have been made much more impactful if those words were said by the crew themselves. What opportunities were there during filming to make that happen? What questions could you have asked to get those thoughts out of the crew on film? Opporunties are created by you. You know what story you wanted to tell, so show it to us. Over all, I feel like this was a good first effort at more serious film making. Learn from it. Grow from it, and experience more things. Oh,and Merry Christmas Jre.

I have been to the tour in Berlin, 43 days ago. Ever since I've discovered the crew, I promised myself that I would buy the most expensive tickets to a DPR concert to support my kings and also to meet them personally. And I have to say that this was the best decision I've ever made, it was the most incredible, fun, and unforgettable concert I've been to and I SWEAR it'll always be my favorite. I never had such a huge post concert DPRession in my whole flipping life, I miss y'all so so so bad. You guys are so humble and down to earth, I loved talking to you all of you! Watching this video made me feel so.. blessed. Blessed to be part of this huge, loving family. Thank you guys, hope to see you again soon.

Super proud of you branching out and making those dream markers a reality. You had some great questions! The hype question was my fav. My only complaint and it isn't really a complaint it would be nice to hear the person you interviewing finish their thoughts throughly before you interject. Cause even though your comments are encouraging they can lead the person you are interviewing to answer in a way they originally were not going too. I was really excited to finally watch this and I gotta say you didn’t disappoint! Great job!! Now, I got too much time on my hands, so I wanted to give an a bit more detailed review: Love the idea for the opening sequence! Nice intro too, both the compilation of DPR works and your own introduction to the video. Especially the last sentence with “their dreams have no limit” fits so perfectly as transition to the crew name, but also sums up the mentality of them. On point introduction of the crew members, interesting use of transitions that fits the more energetic music and your voice over. However, I gotta say I don’t like how you put the names over the footage. The font seems to me as more of a distraction instead of adding/pointing out information due to it’s opacity and the already busy background. You combined the interview footage well with the recordings of the show, and the topics that were being talked about are very interesting to know (to me at least). They show a side which we as fans don’t always get to see/experience or can’t even quite understand. Next, the intermissions. I’m wondering if you referenced DPR’s editing effects during them (and also during other parts of the video)? And those door opening shots? If I’m not mistaken you masked those clips, and for that you deserve some credit because even if it’s relatively “easy” since it’s an even edge, masking footage just takes so much time and dedication. Same goes for the subtitles tbh. From choosing the font, to picking the right size, adjusting the timing, etc., there are some things that can be done wrong, but you managed to make the right decisions. The one thing I was confused about considering the subs tho was from 8:03 to 8:54 . You did a wonderful voice over there, and I assume you put the subtitles to support the message and make it stand out, but the subs seem random because this is the only time they are used for this purpose since the other times you put subs was when the audio was difficult to understand due to background noise or similar things. Moving on, you put a nice tease at the end of the video, and I’ll definitely will be waiting for the next episode! On a more general note/just some overall things towards the video: I find it always really nice to see some behind the scenes footage of such things and I truly appreciate that you are sharing this with us and that you put so much work and thought into it. The way you edit (the footage you chose, the transitions, effects, music choice, etc.) makes it interesting to watch, so those 12-13 minutes (which btw are a good length) passed by so quickly, I didn’t even notice. I also love that we got to hear your view on DPR, and as I mentioned before, your commentary was on point. I feel honored if you actually read through all of this, especially considering that this is just my own personal opinion, and I hope it was at least somewhat helpful.
