I definitely feel location is important for success in e-commerce. A lot of areas just don't have a plethora of available inventory that sells on ebay. I'd also like to add that if your particular area is just crawling with resellers that it makes it very difficult to build an inventory of high sell through items. Just a tid bit of observation in comparison.

Absolutely....selling on Ebay is simple, sourcing is the hard part mainly for the reason you mention.

Loved everything you shared in this video. Great tips! Because of your advice,,I purchased a Beachwaver for $1.50 at a thrift shop a while back. One of my daughters was like OMG Mom, Why are you buying that? It is never going to sell. It sold 2 days after I listed it for $65 and was my third sale in my eBay shop. Had a total of 6 sales in 4 days which I was super excited about considering I just launched my shop. Thank you for being an awrsome reseller/ mentor that I look up to. Not gonna lie, you got the tears rolling over here at the end when you said to let others help you. I have struggled with allowing others to help me so much in my life. It has always been so much easier for me to give to others than to be on the receiving end.

Hi Jake, I discovered your channel a few months ago and really like your content. You are a good soul and are genuine in your actions, this is what I have observed from tuning in over these past few months. You share your knowledge and are always upfront about the inner workings of the business, etc that most may not be aware of. With respect to compensation, you have earned it!🎉. Getting compensated in this market is the goal of all who participate in the resell business. Want you to know that I am glad you are starting to reap the rewards of your efforts. You have been hustling and your hard work is paying off. 🎉🎉. What also comes thru is your genuinely wanting others to succeed! Thank you for sharing your story - I know that wasn’t easy and I come away from that with massive respect for your wanting to share in the hopes of helping another. That is the “Good Soul” that I referred to earlier and believe that is what the owner recognized as well. I understand how you felt about accepting help and believe that many feel that way at some point in their lives. Your passion and knowledge made you one of my fav content creators but your humanity is by far your greatest attribute, my friend! Looking forward to watching your continued success in the reseller landscape! 🎉 Ps - I normally don’t write in the comments but wanted you to know that your kindness is truly appreciated! Keep up the great work!

What you said at the end!! Second time I heard that message yesterday. You know how good you feel when you do something nice and helpful for someone? Why would you deny someone else that pleasure and joy! I love this message thanks for squeezing in your thought process.

You continue to impress me with your business, but especially who you are. Thank you for sharing with us. I don't like to accept help either. It makes me too vulnerable. That’s an awesome story as you ended the clip… We as human beings are flawed! Our ego will not allow us to receive or accept help, in the way that you shared with us. But one thing that we don’t understand, and your closing comments reflected: When we don’t allow someone to help us, because out of the goodness of their heart, they want to show kindness, love, and generosity - we deny them of the blessings that they want to provide. Or more accurately…. We rob them of that goodness.

Yes Jake. Alot of us have been NAKED AND AFRAID like the TV show. For me, having to live in my truck (no money for rent or nearly food.. tuna and cheap bread) near a railroad track so it would wake me up at 4:30am to be to work at 7am was a lonely time for almost 6 months. Only after seeing you say your story did it remind me of that AFTER 28yrs later and now in a better place. Tears to you fine Sir.

this is why your so successful , you've been hungry. I also had a similar experience with an employer who paid my rent for one year , no strings attached. I had nothing but a suitcase in my hand when i met him. One thing i know for sure , when we are moving in the right direction , doors open , opportunity presents itself and as long as we are actively aware of when it does and move forward with intention life is good ! Someday you will undoubtedly pay it forward and in many ways your doing that now. I always watch until the end.. lol. i know you get stats on retention , pay that no mind and keep on moving !

I had to work with a therapist to learn how to accept help. Then i could see that i was denying others from joy. I was selfish. I imagine if you and i are in the center of a crisis or otherwise aware of an emergency around us we're the ones who step up. Im really good in those intense situations. But we need to learn to let others be the heroes when lives arent on the line. Money and time are the best things we can share. And Kroger groceries. Great story and im sure that brought him enormous joy.
