I agree brother. Men must take control step up and be fathers instead of running away. Just became a stepfather and I am so proud of the girl that I'm taking responsibility for. She knows I cannot replace her dad and she understands I'm not blood related. She also knows and understand that I love her and that love shines through Jesus. We pray attend church and I am soon giving her a promise ring.

you can. Through him who gives you strength....Jesus. Repent, believe in him and call out to him. he will help you. On your own you can do nothing. you will try by the reminder of moral law and weight of good conscience...but the steam will burn out as the job gets tougher....remember you are human. But God through Jesus Christ you can. Only turn from yourself and turn to him who overcame all human temptations and even death. He WILL help you. This is my prayer for you brother. That you will come to faith in Jesus for all your needs.

I remember in 8th grade, our teacher made us watch this in class. Rewatching it now reminded me how beautiful the message of this movie really is. Although it doesn’t have a high budget, well-known actors, nor did it win many awards, this movie will always remain in my heart as one of the most inspiring. Kinda corny, I’ll admit but the message is what is important. Love this!

It didn't win many awards BECAUSE of the message! This was a relatively low budget film, but you can't put a dollar amount on the message! The first time I saw this, I cried, and still do every time I watch it. Hands down, one of the best movies ever made in my opinion.

@@mightyeagle51 A "Christian message" doesn't automatically make a good movie. In fact chances are, most of the time, those messages tend to lean towards being dogmatic and hamfisted in execution to where it's pandering to a specific target audience of what they want to hear (hence the phrase, "preaching to the choir"). That's why movies like God's Not Dead, Do you Believe?, and War Room don't work (and also because of other elements like trite humor, bad writing, and scatterbrain storytelling). Now, that's not to say that there can't be good religious movies, in fact I want to see some decently made ones. If you want some good examples of movies that work within the context of centering around religious aspects, look at The Prince of Egypt (1998) and Silence (2016). Both know how to work as individual pieces of cinematic art and well crafted storytelling that aren't afraid to push boundries. So telling me that a movie works simply because of it's message doesn't cut it for me. That's like telling me that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a masterpiece because of the political and social commentaries spread throughout the movie (which by the way I absolutely hated). So I hope that this little essay gives you some understanding as to why I don't agree with your statement.

AWESOME! This message must be promulgated to all churches, homes, schools, places of public gatherings and all social media/networks to reach the ears and hearts of men and women to accept and appreciate the God-given roles of fathers to their families. Fathers are needed in the lives of children and families. Moreover, the idea of fathering others who are without a father in their lives is also critical. This godly love is not limited to next of kin but is enough to share for others to experience God's love through the family.

I am thankful for my parents, although they did not attend church regularly, nor do they now, they did model Christian values. I am thankful for my ex, though he did not stay in his children's lives and model Christ, he introduced me to a good church where I and my children attend now. I am thankful for my husband, who, though he does not attend church, has stepped up to the plate, and become a father figure in my children's lives. I am thankful for good men in our church, who do model Christ to my children, and mentor them in their growing relationship with Christ. This particular speech is one that reminds me that these men each have provided something for my children. Thank God for them.

In 2022, where are you men of couarage? I write this humbly, as a man who has strived to be Christ like. Yes , I have fallen short. Yet, I still strive. For my family, for my neighbors, for the young men I work with. It is now more than ever, important, that our young men step up and lead. But they need examples, Men of faith. God bless

It's not always easy to be a father. Many times you have to do things you don't want to do, like work a job you don't want to do just to pay the bills. It's hard but you do it cause you love your kids. We have a generation of men who need to understand that, as a man, you do what you have to do to make ends meet. Lots of men don't take care of business cause they might have to work jobs they don't like. Look guys, it's called the real world and a man does whatever it takes to get the job done, regardless of how you feel. Grow up and take responsibility for your kids. They need you to provide a good example of what it means to be a man. Stop your whining and get it done. Stop your complaining and get it done. Life will never be perfect so get over it and do what you gotta do to be a man.

I didn't see the movie all the way through, but its good after watching clips. I'm not even a Christian but watching Touched by an Angel almost everyday has made me my own Christian and still support those who are judge by those who abused the bible. There are some children that grew up without fathers and not end up on the wrong road. But the main character is right that fathers need to be there for their children even if they're not married to the mother or not, and mothers sacrifice alot so they won't stray and make the same mistakes, which every fatherless child fears they would make the same mistake. The ones that didn't stray were lucky because there were father figures in the form of grandfathers, uncles, godfathers, mentors, teachers, neighbors, and the fathers of your friends. To those who ended up on the wrong road its hard to get off but you should know that one father will not leave you is God even if you believe in his existence or not. God is a judge who loves his children for who they are and who they are with. He can help if you let him in. Let God be your father and your friend, let God heal your anger, and let God change your heart 👨‍👧‍👦🙏🕊️

Dear God🙏♥️💕 in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.

In my case is different but also painful. My dad showed his real personality some months ago. He left the family and started a new relationship with a 24 year old woman (who has the same age as my sister). He is almost 60 years old and had a beautiful marriage of 32 years. He is now cold to me, to my sister and to my mom. He is not the father that he used to be. I don't recognize him anymore......

LET every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Romans 13:1 The power delivered to a new father falls under this scripture. There is an anointing that comes with the position of Dad. Children should be taught this verse. Fathers should understand this verse. Yet, most of the time, it is applied only to secular government leaders...if at all. After watching this video, God brought my attention to this verse. I had never considered it before. I don't think it was just for me. All fathers fall directly under the chain of command of OUR HEAVENLY FATHER... WOW... That's heavy... One of the highest compliments I ever got was from my son Nate. He called me one day to tell me that he wanted to apologize. When I asked why? He said: "Because everything you tried to tell me that I told you were crazy, I finally figured out on my own that what you told me was all true." Nate was killed on Interstate 94....2 months later. Age 38. Tow Truck Operator on a "routine" recovery.

This is from a friend who sale this movie, i feel inadequate my wife is the bread winner of the house and I stay home and keep it clean. I feel inadequate because as my wife brings home the paycheck I'm at home with my kids and every day I hear the whispers behind my back calling me a deadbeat a bad influence of what a father and man should be. It's hard because I try to teach my children to lead godly life yet I feel like I am a hypocrite in this. I support my wife in her pursuits but at times I feel like I hold her back. Seeing this movie which opted me to keep trying also shows that I am not what a father should be in their perspective. I ask you am I truly being a true father in gods eyes if I'm the stay at home father? My best friend who is a house husband/stay at home father.

What do you think your heavenly Father would say? If you and your wife are in agreement with the arrangement and you've prayed together asking Him to guide you in it and you have peace it makes no difference what others think. Only His opinion matters. That doesn't mean you don't pursue your God-given purpose while you are doing it. That could be a part-time job, ministry, etc. It's not a weakness, it's actually a strength. If you are able to walk in that despite the judgement of others and have His peace in the midst who do you think is farther along in their Christian walk? Them or you?
