No one knows the character better than the actor, and even a careful writer's words on the page will sometimes sound less than optimal when read aloud. In these cases, the team is SUPPOSED to update the in-game script to match what was said in the audio. For original-language dubs, animations including (but not limited to) mouth movements are even retooled. What happened there with Weiss is a failure not on the part of the actress, but the localization team. In the furthest extent of voice actor improvisation, it's said that Eddie Murphy made up half his lines in Shrek on the spot. Obviously, entire scenes were reanimated around his performance as Donkey.

Trinity (the third soul in Platinum’s body) was friends with Kazuma Kval/Kuvaru, Yuuki Terumi’s previous host body in the BlazBlue Phase Shift light novels. Kazuma and Hazama are not the same person (according to Terumi, Kazuma died when he fell into the Boundary) but they look identical. Trinity is sad that she couldn’t do anything to help her friend from falling to Terumi’s corruption and is trying to apologise, but Hazama doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
