Hello Everyone!
We're sorry we have not been active on you tube lately. We have been extremely busy at the shop with various projects and dyno operation. We are extremely thankful and greatfull to all of our followers and customer that have supported us to this day and keep on supporting us on our journey of keeping these cars alive and operating better than ever.
Here is a video of Fangyi's Evo IX we just finished up here at JRP Performance. Build Breakdown:
.2.0 Long rod 4G63.
.Ported cylinder head W/+0.5mm oversized valves
.BR valvesprings
.ARP 625+ head studs
.Precision 6466 Twin scroll T4 Turbocharger 1.00 AR Hotside
.Sheepey Race FF Turbo kit
.Sheepey Race 4.5" FMIC, thermal coated
.JRP spec -8 feed/-6 return fuel lines
.BPR billet double pumper W/twin Walbro 525's
.ID 2000cc Fuel injectors
.Fuel lab fuel pressure regulator
.JRP Spec STM catch can
.GSC S3 camshafts
.Koyo 1/2 size radiator W/spal 1200 CFM fan.
The car produced 700 whp on our in house Mustang Dynamometer at 44 psi of peak boost and super conservative ignition timing and rich AFR. This car has more in it and the pull was done in 3rd gear. This is one fast street car! Thank you Fangyi for trusting JRP Performance with your build!

I worked on this Evo he brought it to the Mitsu dealership I worked at and I change the airbag out under the Mitsubishi recall Badass car for sure!

A stage 1 cam with a big turbo makes perfect sense on the street. Big cams push the power band further to the right just as a big turbo will. Smaller cam will maintain great street drivability while letting the turbo still do its thing

Very nice build I'm currently thinking about getting either the 6466 gen2 or 6266 gen2 are the overall frame sizes the same just internally bigger? Also what fuel was this car running pump or e85?

Interesting videos/guidance on tuning 👍. With regard to the evo x do you find the stock ECU limits the power you can achieve due the failsafe features when mapping? I'm assuming the cars that go above 550 have aftermarket engine management?

Great Video Guys! the video production value looks much higher especially the sound. on another note, i have an ACT 6puck clutch in my evo 8 right now. i plan on going to a exeedy twin disk next summer but currently my clutch engages very high in the clutch pedal travel. essentially im only using the first 25% of my clutch peddle travel when driving my car, would i benefit from using a clutch stop like you mentioned?

Hi David. The clutch stop is very beneficial for the hydraulic throw out bearing equppied clutches such as the tilton, quarter master ETC. you can adjust your clutch pedal from the pedal rod itself, you should turn the rod in a few turns and see if that helps.

Why 3rd gear pulls? I thought you tune with 4th gear pulls. Isn't there more load in 4th gear? I would of thought this set up would make well over 800 +hp. What's stopping it from making them numbers? Damn running 2 walbro 525's. What size are the fuel lines? Is it like 2 -6an to 1 -8an?

We do 3rd and 4th gear pulls to dial in both high load gears, we also do a 1-4 gear pull and log on the dyno after the calibration is complete to make sure AFR and boost are tracking as desired. We dont have too much timing in the car currently. There is more timing in it and more boost in it as it is not out of fuel yet. He will be back when he craves more power!

The numbers were in the description. Made 700 whp/ 490 Ft-Lbs of torque at 38 psi. unfortunately our friend Saul had to leave early so he did not get to capture the final Pulls.

mustang dyno is hard to make power cause it's heavier/reads lows numbers

Its a tuning tool not a numbers machine. Forget the numbers, they mean nothing.

@@fkn16v Correct! Numbers are stated at the track. The Mustang Dynamometer reads very accurately and does not produce inflated numbers, we did a ton of research before purchasing our dyno. After all, as Krimreeper mention the dyno is just a tool to provide adequate load so we can properly calibrate these machines!

mustang dyno's dont read low numbers... most dyno's Evo guys get their HP from in the US read high numbers. some cars say they have 1000hp but only trap 130mph haha
