Another fantastic video showcasing some great games/demos (as usual). I've just been working on trying to get the platinum in FFX-HD Remaster. Amazing game, and this is the first time I've ever beaten it, even from the PS2 days. Now the real grind begins. Thank you for all the wonderful content, have a great day.

I'm with you on the Visions of Mana demo. It wasn't that i didn't like it, but Metaphor definitely clicked with me more

in september i played the first ace attorney investigations game and my god what a start! i can't wait to get around to beating the whole thing! i also played both the romancing saga 2 and metaphor demo's. both were fun but metaphor took the w of course. so as for this month i will play metaphor but not right away as im almost done with persona 3 reload , which has been a blast. congrats on finishing the yuffie dlc tara! happy gaming as always.😃

Congrats on beating Intermission! ❤Even if it's a DLC, a six-hour adventure still counts, and it can take longer if you do side stuff. So, that's backlog progress! I'm glad you're moving forward with your plans for the month and you're feeling comfortable enough to squeeze more titles in between to enjoy a variety of experiences. I really hope you have an amazing time! And great job getting over the Gacha craziness, that's a huge step for a more enjoyable gaming routine ❤

Wow, you got into a lot of variety last month! Heh, I got back to FF7 Intermission just before Rebirth came out, so I feel your journey. I fell off of Rebirth after 20 hours or so, but I've targeted it for October and have been getting back into it. Just got to Costa del Sol. Had a big smile on my face the whole time. Didn't get very far in SMT V in September and chipped a bit further on Jeanne D'arc. I was mostly playing some shorter time trial-y games in September. 100% Pepper Grinder, Cursed to Golf and the underrated Crypt Custodian that just came out. Finished the new DLC for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. There's still one side thing I'll finish at some point in that. Also thought of a way to get the last trophy in Deadlight - a game I failed to get the 100% a year and a half ago. So that felt good. Anyway, my big game for October is getting back into FF7 Rebirth. I want to play Metaphor too... but... I just know that they're going to re-release it in two years with a bunch of new content. I suppose I could play it twice... but I play a lottttt of games. Haven't decided.

I'm so hype for this end of the year. Lately i avoid to watch many videos so i can actually play myself. So i'm glad you showed Fairy tail 2 battles since i was worried it was action based. I'm glad it's what it is as shown! I'm so hype for romancing saga 2, i love the battle system and visuals! I won't play metaphor until i'll get next switch and it'll be on there for sure. I'm glad ppl seems to enjoy it! Currently still playing harvestella 😅

Can only purchase 1 game for October, and that went to Romancing Saga 2 (pre-purchased). The demo sold it to me, and for the lack of a better word, it feels "at home" kind of game. Really looking forward to its release while I burn my time waiting playing Diablo 4 while watching Metaphor stream playthrough.

huzzah, you got over the gacha barrier! last month i played a lot of non-jrpg stuff like disco elysium and the new zelda game. now i'm doing 13 sentinels aegis rim and silent hill 2. (i never play 2 games at once, but silent hill 2 ended up upending my plans because it was actually good.) Looking hugely forward to Ys X in a couple weeks.

September was amazing played my goty and most anticipated indie game. Went thur Black Myth Wukong, Astro Bot, Bakeru, The Plucky Squire, and Class of 09. October Plans are metaphor, Ys X and LiS double exposure

Wrapping up Silent Hill 2 Remake and after that, getting the PS4 physical for Final Fantasy's Pixel collection and hoping to start FF6! VGP stocked up Metaphors collectors edition again so i'll be getting that sometime in a few weeks hopefully and starting that as well :) As always, amazing work Tara!

As for JRPGs, I finally finished Trails Through Daybreak in September and started Visions Of Mana... October will probably be split between Visions of Mana (plus a bit of SH2 here and a bit of other stuff there) and Metaphor: ReFantazio. When not at home but still have a bit of time to spare, I'm currently still playing Trails From Zero on my Steam Deck, but I don't think that I will finish this one anytime soon there. Luckily enough I completed the Crossbell-arc a few years ago already and its only my second play-through - and the first with the official English translation, so there is no hurry here. As for Visions Of Mana... well, the demo doesn't actually give a good impression of the game. In my opinion it's indeed a step-up from Trials, however... it's still exactly in the same vein... so if you weren't exactly into that one, Visions may not do it for you. If you, on the other hand, enjoyed Trials, there is a high chance you may enjoy Visions at least as much. The demo just "randomly" throws you into a fairly unfortunate selected part of the game without much introduction - neither story- nor gameplay-wise. It's a quite chunky demo in my opinion, but not a one well-made. But yeah, the "cringe" is - of course - there. It's just part of the tone of the series in general.

Late reply, but appreciate your insights about Visions! As I said in the video, I’ll be keeping it in mind during sales but perhaps I should get it sooner rather than when it’s dirt cheap haha Glad to hear you’re enjoying it! :)

@@JRPGJungle Yeah, actually finished it a few days ago. It was fine, it has its flaws, but it's actually quite good. At the end, the only thing that I really didn't like was how much side-content was there, because you couldn't really tell if it's something worth your time (either storywise or in regard of the rewards) or not. And sadly, 90% of the time, it's just not. But, if you don't care much about such stuff and just finish that thing once, you can, and probably should, just ignore that filler stuff and you will have a good time with the game, if you like the series.

I spent September picking up games I had put down including Disgaea 7, FF16, Trails to Zero and Bravely Second. Going to pick up Metaphor Re Fantazio and hopefully beat Disgaea 7 this month.

I’m getting to the end of trails in the sky 3rd chapter and am working through Valkyria Chronicles 3. After those two, thinking of playing through Radiata Stories and going back to xenoblade 3. Tried the demo of Romancing Saga 2 but it did not really click unfortunately

Well done on getting through Daybreak! Honestly both seem fantastic and I haven't finished either yet, but I think you can't go wrong either way :3 Metaphor is likely more my speed personally, but I'm sure you'll choose what's best for you :) happy playing~!

Im trying to focus on Trails in the Sky SC. But I’ve also played FF14. It’s been years since I last played it and it’s fun to come back to it. However I’m trying to focus on the Trails series. I’ve played them in such a weird order. Cold Steel 1 and 2 then Zero then Sky and now Sky SC and I’m playing Azure on and off as well. But I want to finish the Sky games first before continuing with Azure and then probably replay Cold Steel now that I have a much bigger understanding of the universe.

Hold on on playing the japanese demo os Ys X, because there was a leaked trailer for the NA demo. I donk know when it will come out, but it should be very soon (hope so).

I think Visions of Mana is my game of the year! I found it very relaxing and I like the story. Yes, dialogue is cheesy but that's minor compared to positive vibe it has. I have finished though. I have also been playing FF7 Rebirth, Octopath Traveler 2 and I also finally managed to get a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. All of which are very long 😛. I will be getting Metaphor when I managed to finish something and Ys 10 is definitely next up after that.

Unfortunately my playing time took a big hit in September so only played Mugen Souls which had been sitting on my shelf for years. Super excited for Ys X in a couple weeks and will probably wait for a big sale or enhanced edition for Metaphor. I was excited for Visions of Mana but was put off by the demo as it performed very sluggish on ps4 so will wait til I can get a ps5 for that one.

Not yet sadly. Ideally I’d like to before the year is out, but I’m also prioritizing things I’m further into so it’s kind of in the pile right now (and no excuse for playing Metaphor, I just wanted to and it’s new and exciting lol)

In September, I did another playthrough of Dark Souls 3 and it's dlc. It was so enjoyable all over again that I purchased DS2 scholar of the first sin. And boy do I regret it. I played DS2 waaaay back when it first released but not since. Now, after DS3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring... DS2 is utter garbage. I don't rage in FromSoft games and yet I've been so frustrated at numerous points in DS2. It's poorly made, has weird design choices, and lacks any of the classic FromSoft polish. But thankfully, Metaphor came out today so I don't have to keep playing DS2. Excited to play Metaphor over the three day weekend.

Not much for September for me as I was mostly on games from other genres that I wanted to play badly I also finally got my PS5, so I can finally get those that I was anticipating for the past 4-ish years lol As for now, I'm in the middle of my Halloween vibe with horror games and horror -adjacent games on pretty much every platform I have while also delving into horror manga for my daily commutes ;) I'm currently playing The Chant on PS5 and got the Dead Space remake that was added on PSPlus this month, though I have other games on my console so that one can wait a bit Even though we're getting new J/RPGs in October and beyond, I'll stick to my backlog until i've cleared them all, so those new offerings might end up bought during sales for me
