Ricky was setting up those lines for awhile. He was mentally breaking James so when he made the pass, it was over....& it was. Nobody could touch him outdoors. RC was the fastest man on the planet.

Really Stewart was faster, notice Stewart had nothing for Carmichael once he passed him, he didn't even get on his back wheel or challenge him but just fell back farther with each lap. Carmichael has beat Stewart straight up many times, the only thing Stewart has done more than Carmichael is crash while trying to go faster than everyone else. I give Stewart due respect but Carmichael is the warrior of the two.

Why? He's a nice guy, and isn't a sore loser unlike Carmichael (throws a tantrum when he couldn't pass Stewart in Moto 1) and Reed (runs Stewart off the track in SX because he lost the championship). RC is the GOAT but he only had a good attitude when he was winning, unlike Stewart.

Carmichael dominated for so many years and no one could come close to his pace except Stewart. Stewart was the only guy who could push Carmichael to the next level, I really wish Ricky would have stuck around a couple more years and gave us more of these battles instead of trying to switch over to stock car racing.

Carmichael toyed with Stewart. Stewart was never close to Carmichael. Look at how fast Carmichael was running behind Stewart and then look at how fast he was running after he passed Stewart. Dropped over 3 seconds a lap after the pass

RC put in more work than James. The only time we truly saw Jame's potential was when he was being trained by Aldon. But James did not want to suffer and work that hard. So he quit Aldon.

A few more laps in those races & he has 4 undefeated seasons. This vid is from his last year where he only raced 6 races. Never lost a moto. So he was on his way to another undefeated season. The fastest man on the planet was Ricky.

holly mack it's funny that you say that, Ricky has said on multiple occasions that Stewart was the fastest rider out there, and that Kevin Windham was the most technical. RC is the best combination of fast, daring, and technical.

I haven't watched since the McGrath days, I follow MotoGP/2/3 very closely. A clip got me interested in the stewart/carmichael/reed rivalry, so I've been watching some old races. From an unbias standpoint, id say that stewart was all round faster but more wreckless, carmichael was insanely fast but cleaner, more clinical... and that wins titles. The one thing I will say is, that hit where Dungey straight lined Stewart was sickening, he should have spent a year in the sin bin for that. "clipping" my ass, that was a brutal take out and should have been HEAVILY punished.

3:00 what an embarrassment to list nascar and drag 'racing' wins which are national level not WORLD level, yet not list literally the most dominant champion in racing history, Valentino Rossi, and his record is STILL being written. Drag 'racing' is a hobby at best, and nascar is a joke.. a slight left hand turn for 7 hours, people only watch for the wrecks ffs.. Fuck, at least list TRUE racers. If you're gonna list that old ass irrelevant nascar dude, why not list Agostini (122 wins, 15 world titles), or Nieto (90 wins 13 world titles). At least these were WORLD titles, not national titles. I won a bunch of club MX titles, maybe I should be considered with our national greats?! fuck no.. i'm shit compared to them. Chuck John or Richard in an F1 car, I bet they wouldnt make the qualifying cut off time.
