Bought the Pixel 7 Pro when it first debuted. I've only used some of its functions. But the one bone I have to pick with this phone? Is the dog gone fingerprint sensor. No many how mmay times I add/map my fingerprint? It still has trouble reading, when I attempt to unlock it. I miss the Pixel 2 with it on the back side of the phone.

Try to capture the fingerprints in a dark room (with the lights turned off). This worked really well for me.

At first I didn't think upgrading from my regular Pixel 6 was worth it. But the Read Aloud feature in Chrome is an utter game changer. This feature alone was worth the upgrade. I also got the 8 Pro for $600 bc I'm a Google Fi customer (highly recommend).

Oh course the video is in the same league as the iPhone . Not quite as good but that was a ridiculous Apple sheep comment to say it wasn't even in the same league . I have both and he needs his eyes checked. Also even Apple channel reviewers have commented that the pixel video is close to the iPhone

3:14 - "Gets the job done"??? That certainly hasn't been my or many others' experience with it - compared to the now 4+year old 4a5g with a rear fingerprint sensor that lets you simply tap straight in 99% of the time. Went from iphone 12 to pixel 8 and I'm pretty happy. The only thing the the app optimization is way better on ios. For example Snapchat ran noticeably better on an older iphone compared to brand new pixel. Also some apps like Hulu and Max wont let you zoom to fill the screen and the blackbars are uneven 😂 Other then that its a great phone.

Hey. I just bought the phone. The issues I am facing: 1. Google photos or any other gallery app takes so much time to load the pics. 2. Phone is heating up even though I just scroll through google photos. 3. Battery is draining quickly, which I am thinking is because it's heating up quickly. 4. Best take feature is not giving many options (very poor options), Magic eraser is also very bad, leaves too much blur on the pics. Did you also face the same issues?? If so, could you please tell me what you did to solve them??

The AI stuff takes a while because your phone isn't doing most of it. It actually sends your photos to Google servers where real computers do the AI work and then send it back to you.

Overheats or heats up? I feel they phone I had, mostly Samsung gets hot on certain occasions especially using AA when it's a hot day but nothing major. Same with this one so no big issues.

I was an iphone user for 8 years straight so i moved on to samsung galaxy s21. I was surprised on how good the features are. I might try google pixel soon. 😊 i never ever come back to iphone anymore

I'm sending mine back. The connectivity on this phone is weak as hell. My Pixel 5a has better connectivity and better battery life. My Pixel 8 Pro has terrible battery life. I've updated this phone to current update and nothing has helped. I think I'm gonna go to Samsung. The Pixel line now has everything from Samsung. Has a Samsung screen, Samsung cameras, and even the Tensor chip was created based on the Samsung Exynos chip. I might as well get a Samsung phone. They should not have gone away from Snapdragon chipset. The the battery life would be way better. The Tensor chip is just so power hungry. It hasn't changed from Pixel 6 series.

Money why else 🤷‍♀️ phone breaks you have to take it in to get fixed or replaced. Remember all companies test for longevity as well and they see ways to cut it so that it forces consumers to buy again (much like how cars once were built in a way that was meant to be passed down, but now they are made to break after a certain time frame so you have to buy another one) Its also no secret that most if not all companies destroy certain phones/ tablets after they release a certain amount of upgraded versions. That said the day they include such a screen is the moment it will likely cost way more for the 'pro series' who knows maybe they will think of a term above pro just to gut people more financially when buying their phones. Man that ended up as a rant sorry bout that I just get annoyed at companies and the fact we could have had infinite energy, but corporations said no because it hurts their bottom line that goes for about everything including clothing. Its an interesting rabbit hole just a little depressing.

I’m about to buy a Pixel 8 Pro, but I’ve been a Pixel user in the past so here’s my recommendation. Close off background apps, the device has a lot of RAM and can run with many apps open, but it takes a big toll on the battery. Turn off location services only for when you’re using apps. If you really need to turn down the display refresh rate, even use battery saver and drop the brightness. Pixels are just known for being a little laggy and having heat issues, you’ll get used to it. I do recommend not having lots of apps or photos on it, it helps keep the phone stable, but if you need it won’t be terrible. I’m a Pixel 3 XL user so I’m not the most up to date, but that’s what I learned from mine.

Useless gimmicks, unimproved biometrics, terrible processor, terrible button placement, meh battery life, all that for what you could buy, which is a Samsung or iPhone instead. Nah, Google failed with the pixel 6-8 line. Hopefully, they improve on the pixel 9 but with their current track record, it looks like they won’t. Ps, I’m terribly disappointed by Google’s horrid Tensor chip because of the stability being subpar and they won’t even throttle the chip so that it doesn’t overheat or offer better stability. tbh he's gotta switch to iPhone since they are the only ones that have a flagship processor across their line up, Samsung fucks you over with exynos which is basically tensor but less optimised unless you are willing to pay more for the ultra which is getting the snapdragon8 gen 3 which isn't a great design since it's just too boxy for me, hey maybe I'm the only one that thinks like that or if you live in America you get the spoils of having a snapdragon processor.
