What I love about this performance is that the men represent so many spirits of friends. Their dance captures the essence of best friends out on the town, having a great time, reverberating to joy of celebration together, which is seen in the responsive dance of one friend to another in the moves. This is so iconic, it could be in a snow shaker somewhere, a frozen memory for all time. It's more than the two individuals.

[Verse 1] There's a boy downtown from the club I know He doesn't say a word, he just hits the floor The way he moves always caught my eye Couldn't take it no more, just had to try I move to the floor, as he danced away His feet like magic, then he looked my way And in one swoop, he had me by his side And I knew I was in for a ride, as we [Chorus] Sway to that sound Our feet tap, tapping, and our heartbeats' beating and I Spin round and round When we're lost in the rhythm, the lights and the crowd That look in his eyes made me sure We'd be dancing til' the dawn [Verse 2] Boy, I'll tell you that boy can move Got me twistin' and turnin' around in my Jimmy shoes Never knew I'd feel so alive The guy sure knows how to twist and jive We swing around the club all night Not once did he ever leave my side No matter what, we couldn't stop Dancing, waiting for that drop, as we [Chorus] Sway to that sound Our feet tap, tapping and our heartbeats' beating and I Spin round and round When we're lost in the rhythm, the lights and the crowd That look in his eyes made me sure We'll be dancing, dancing, dancing til' the dawn [Break] When we're lost in the rhythm, the lights and the crowd When we're lost in the rhythm, the lights and the crowd [Chorus] Sway to that sound Our feet tap tapping and our heartbeats beating and I Spin round and round When we're lost in the rhythm, the lights and the crowd That look in his eyes made me sure We'll be dancing, dancing, dancing til' the dawn [Outro] When we're lost in the rhythm, the lights and the crowd
