I really, really love that you gave DMC its flowers. And as someone who was roughly 10-11 years old when DMC1 dropped, I cannot tell you how revolutionary it was at the time. It was mind blowing. 3D action games this fast paced just didn’t exist before. Everyone I know got copies almost right away after word of mouth in our area spread like wildfire. I was the first one to beat it out of my friends over at a friend’s house during a sleepover. Ofc, growing up playing RE and them going into DMC was such an experience I cannot really put into words. But yeah. What a crazy time to grow up playing games when the internet wasn’t where we got our information, and I wouldn’t know the effect DMC had on people until I was in high school.

Hideki Kamiya is back at Capcom, so we getting a DMC6 sooner or later. But a remake of DMC1 from the creator of DMC1 would be awesome. Maybe he can also redo DMC2.

I'd honestly have Kamiya NOT involved in the DMC1 remake since there was so much world building done by itsuno's team from DMC3 onwards to the point where Kamiya DMC and Itsuno DMC are really two different concepts since Itsuno really built up the limited framework given to him by Capcom into a lore heavy universe, and I really think the people who are still at capcom who used to be on his team should make a DMC1 remake instead while Kamiya focuses on Okami and Viewtiful Joe.

Completed devil may cry when it came out. Hated 2 and never completed it and 3 was so hard I never completed it. 4 is probably my favourite as I have completed it a few times and the story and characters were amazing. I really enjoyed DMC for what it was and 5 is an amazing comeback to the series.

Really enjoyed the DMC2 review, mostly because most reviews I see are memeing on it but you approached it from a point of view of a fan who wanted to like it. Really enjoyed the whole video, man PS2 was so nostalgic, games have changed so much it's crazy. Modern games feel so bloated and over designed compared to the simplicity of past games.

1:40:35. If you have two controllers the second controller after pressing start, can take control of Vergil. It also works with the Doppelganger style but obviously that works best with the Super Sparda character with infinite devil trigger!!!!

Hey excellent review on devil may cry 3. I just want to inform you I think you left out some cool and very important things. For starters Dante’s devil trigger changing appearance with each weapon isn’t just for aesthetics. Each weapon also has a passive effect. For example; Rebellion in a balance between all stats and you can also glide. Cerberus gives Dante extra speed, Agni and Rudra give Dante an elemental damage boost, Nevan increases Dante’s healing capabilities, and Beowulf give Dante extra stun resistance. I also wish you would have mentioned Dante Must Die mode because the enemies gain their own devil trigger further enhancing the difficulty and the way you approach each battle. Additionally, upon completion of each mode you gain new outfits, you can even get super Dante which grants him infinite devil trigger in exchange of health regeneration. Also when beating the game with Vergil you can unlock his corrupted form which when going into devil trigger lets you play as Nelo Angelo. You also didn’t mention bloody palace. Im writing this comment at the end of the dmc3 section so as I continue if I hear you talk about it I’ll delete the comment. Again great review so far I’m enjoying it!

Devil May Cru is FINISHED. Literally. It’s over. Not saying that it took a misstep. It’s that it’s just it. Capcom has made surveys. Dante is always the most beloved character from all their IPs. Yet Capcom never gave them the ability to go “all out” and neither have they milked it. DMC1 to 2 was the only time we saw things go “back to back” and that isn’t saying much considering DMC1 is super STANDALONE while DMC2 started in development hell yet ended up being the team in charge of the entire series. DMC5 made us all happy because it meant that DMC DMC was death and OG style was alive… yet at the same time it SIMPLY CONCLUDED THE SERIES! We have gotten 0 rumors of a sequel. The devs responsible moved on by making Dragon’s Dogma 2. And the director of the DMC series recently left. I learned… I leaned to let go. I’m happy I played this on PS2 and I’m happy that the games still exist and I can revisit them from time to time. But like the series I too am finished. Doing crazy combos comes natural yet I don’t get any pleasure nor do I have anything left to prove since I’m “the King of Hell” in every game already. GG’s

I am trying to understand at what point did DMC fall ? DMC 1 was great, DMC 2 was just bad because of the limited time developers were given DMC 3 was peak of Dante, DMC 4 was just as good and DMC 5 was a great conclusion to the Sons of Sparda. DmC reboot does not count in the franchise's downfall since that is a total different universe. So I fail to see where the fall part is.
