What makes this show gold is at 8:35 Dr. James says Boom will be in Motown 30. The SU band director was going around telling everybody that SU was going to get picked. A local paper even printed him saying it. 🤣. JSU Director of Bands, Dowell Taylor, says he cherishes this video just for that fact. JSU literally left the field on fire. On a side note, Wavey Dave (David Chambers) was always the Xfactor with JSU halftime shows. Him and the little tigers running into the goal post was always exciting.

This footage is from my crab year in the Boom! We had soooo much fun doing this show! Believe it or not, we changed the dance routine 3 days before we went down there to perform at that game. It was a lot of hard work and extra dedication for us, especially those of us on the dance committee. LFFSutra I think it’s so much bands can do of what we haven’t seen already... And half of the music played in the drills only half of the audience may know the song... So music artistry and internet has and effect on the band world also..

Have to admit, the Boom had the best dance routines back in the mid 80’s up to the early 90’s, but SU’s energy on the field was crazy!!

Yeah I remember this game JSU came to BR &won the halftime & blew SU out in football too I think JSU had 45 pts at halftime I was 11 yrs old
