This is noted as one of the most spectacular seasons for the Sonic Boom and Prancing J-settes... The 1986 Prancing J-settes ruled... Under the stellar direction of Narrah Dean Oatis, then Prancing J-settes Captain Michelle Spurlock truly took the the organization into a signature force of performance choreography excellence... No other HBCU danceline were as precise and visually stimulating in 1986... The routine performed for the 1986 SU/JSU game was ahead of it's time

Maybe it's just me, but the battles with SU and JSU seem to be more intense than they are today. The crowd was going wild for both bands.

If you have any more tapes of J-Settes from the earlier years, KZbin would really appreciate them.

Kathryn Simmons There’s a lot on here already. The earliest footage is from 1978.

Moves looked eerie similar to the GGs in the 80s.

Nope, not at all... The GGs did have a fye squad in 1986, however the GGs were not this detailed as the Prancing J-settes until 1988... That 1988 season the GGs ripped the J-settes up.

@@dto1270 GG fans also conveniently forget that they the GGs used nothing but remixed J-Sette counts in the stands in the 2000s, all captured on KZbin too. The nerve to say the J-Settes look like them.
