The O Scale layout of Ed Rappe was a top class superb layout running typical Pennsy trains. The layout featured the famous horseshoe curve. All trains ran flawless. recorded 2000 in PAL DVCAM.

Wow, the long runs, operations, and the destinations are great. I really love the weathered/painted track and scenery!

A beautiful and inspiring layout but it seems the curve is backwards with the grade rising to the right instead of the left. It had to be done to make the rest of the layout work. Just wish I had the space and money to really do justice to the Pennsy in it's glory years. Ed has done a good job though making necessary compromises.

In 2005 I retired and built a house with a larger basement. The new layout features a 4 track Horseshoe Curve climbing in the left hand direction.

Aren't Pennys's E-8's supposed to be painted in Tuscan Red? Yours looks like Brunswick Green. Was this a prototype change?
@edrappe Жыл бұрын
PRR freight and passenger diesel locomotives were painted Dark Green Locomotive Enamel (DGLE) until 1952. Beginning that year PRR diesels assigned to passenger service began to be repainted Tuscan red. With the exception of several FP-7’s, dual service PRR diesels retained their DGLE (a.k.a. Brunswick Green) body color.

This is a great layout but for once I would like to see a video that showed me the road instead of showing a lot of trains running past the scenery.. I could care less about the trains running and I want to learn how the great road was built. How did the terain get built. How did the buildings get chosen.

Dear David. Such kind of video can only be taken by the builder during construction. There are some clips available on KZbin doing this. Perhaps the videos of this builder satisfy your needs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqSon5KbhK9gn8U
