I think the real problem is the style of game they are playing under Tocchet. It is very demanding defensively. And it is not surprising it has taken a toll in their offence. The amount of shots they make are very low. Have you noticed that if they make a scoring chance at their end, the opposing team also makes one of their own too? High scoring goals but that is not Tocchets game. He emphasizes defence and safe predictable hockey, in your face kind of way. All the forwards have to do it. And that is why I think Petey’s game had changed so much. Organization might as well accept that fact and move on or wait for Petey to evolve his game by being hard nose and not rely so much on other forwards to contribute to a play. Petey’s game rely so much on instinct. And there is nothing instinctual in Tocchets game.

Hughes aside, the defense is nothing but pylons that struggle to move the puck. Lankinen rough game letting 5 goals on 19 shots. Juulsen and Karlsson both deserve healthy scratch.

Just like Cole last year, Juuleson is the one "ACTIVELY" hurting our team. I can't wait till he's gone. The genius turns the puck over on a stupid pinch, THEN he takes a double minor at end of 3rd when we crawled back so hard to tie it up. All he can do is bang, turn the puck over on misguided pinches & take the most costly double minors at the worst times.

What are you even talking about?!? First, the goaltending was terrible, on both sides. They had a 75% save. Second, you mention JT again as the culprit of the loss! Where on earth was Petey, the whole game?!? 11 million ps player , and so unnoticeable on the field!!!! You told us what we all saw and again, for the umpteenth time, came to the wrong conclusion... Lankky let in 5 goals on 21 shots and the Canucks were still in the game. 11.6 has ZERO points in the last six games. Would help the team if he produced.... something.........some time. Miller is the center on the play,Legrock. Lankky should have made that save where Miller would be in position to pick up the puck. So,yes,you are over reacting.
